Oh thank god. It’s kind of strange though that he’s already played a match and I didn’t even read news of the transfer. I follow several Pachuca-based twitter accounts.

Interesting...........The Swiss Super League isn't a bad league. It's scouted and has churned some talent to some bigger leagues like the First and Second Bundesliga. Manneh will be teammates with former MLSer Tranquillo Barnett. Good luck to Manneh! I just hope the kid irons out some kinks in his game and finds more success that he did in Liga MX.

Now for a quiz....... can you name the last (I think) Yank to suit up for St. Gallen? Hint - this dude has over 80 caps for the US.

Like most Euro leagues though, especially the smaller ones, there is a huge gap between the top clubs and the bottom. St. Gallen managed to qualify for Europe despite having the second-worst goal difference in the league, so they have a lot of work to do to avoid relegation this season.

You're missing his other teammate, another former MLSer, Jordi Quintilla who just signed a few days back! I might have a new fave Swiss team...

I have a new favorite light mayo. It’s not relevant. But likely as relevant as any of these cats will ever be.

(That’s my cynicism for the week. Blew the load in one post. Shit.)

Duke's or Hellman's? This is the most important question you'll answer in your lifetime.

    I like Blue Plate.

Admittedly, that’s not new. But the bad joke is less bad if I pretend it is.

Have you had Blue Plate? It’s the best, Short of Sauer’s. But you don’t see Sauer’s much outside of the Deep South.

So in the end, I eat Hellman’s anyway because it’s better than shit like Kraft and the good stuff isn’t available.

ETA: til, Sauer’s mayonnaise is Duke’s. So we agree. Cool.

Damn - also just got reminded of Bama mayo at my other grandma’s. That was good too.

interesting career. at one point i thought he'd break Jozy's transfer record... he then went to Columbus and didn't do much, then somehow moved to a better league and now the quietest move of any yank i can recall. now in a lesser league than MLS.

Yet rated higher than the Netherlands in UEFA's club/league coefficient.

And like the Netherlands, they have like, two teams that are capable of making noise in Europe and then a bunch of filler.

FCSG is a decent squad. They average around 12k for the season, and are usually between 4th and 6th. As mentioned before Barnetta, the former PHL Union player left and returned to where he started his career. St Gallen is a pretty neat city.

The normal way the Swiss League works is FCSG is on the 2nd tier, their best players are usually purchased by either Basel/YB or other teams in Europe. Germany is a frequent destination, England and Italy are usual ones as well.

I hope that he does well. If you really want the breakdown of the Swiss League, just ask.

The Swiss leagues take an extensive winter break (almost 3 months) due to the cold temps and snow. So the league starts in July.

Yup, Servette from Geneva! Big fan of them.
