I did. I don’t think it makes a whole lot of sense to keep it open. That would fragment discussion even more. It already has over 3,000 responses.

I figured that. But life's too short to miss out on an opportunity for a good laugh.

Well looks like I'm going to be watching a lot of Bundesliga this year.

    Pulisic at Dortmund
    McKennie at Schalke
    Sargent at Werder
    Adam at Leipzig

Fingers crossed the last two will get regular playing time.

Hey @Real Corona can you change the thread titles for this and the other YYA thread to say 2018/19 stedda 2017/18? My bad.

Tillman is on loan at Nurnberg too, right? I'm not getting too invested him yet, since he's not committed to the US, but it will be moderately interesting to see if he gets minutes/performs well.

He is. Also, ArJo and Bobby, and Timmy and Fabian. Big year in the Bund for our guys.

I just listed the youth guys but frankly I think all but Bobby is done with the senior team so personally I’m not invested.

    Someone help me out here...

Richie Ledezma is on trial at PSV. He is born September 6, 2000, which means he turns 18 this year, 6 days after the Eredivisie transfer window ends.

However, he is not under contract so would be a free transfer. Can he sign with PSV on 9/6/18 and play before the winter window. Can he play with the u19 team?

Sargent signed his contract on his birthday in Feb but couldn't officially register and participate in competitions (U-19 and first team both) until now, I assume Ledezma would have to wait till winter

Agree with this. I don't have any inside information on the Eredivisie's registration rules, but this was what I was thinking as well.

I believe Ledezma would have to wait until the winter to be eligible to play officially. IIRC, same thing happened with Rubin when he signed with Utrecht. Who signed in March and couldn’t play until the summer.

Yeah, that would make sense. But I wonder if there is a difference between Fall and Spring. If not, that is a tough break as he misses by days. The weird thing is that free transfers can be signed after the window closes and registered. So, here is hoping Rubin and Sargent ran afoul of something that wouldn't apply to Ledezma.

Their keeper depth looks incredibly weak. Just one guy with any professional experience, a journeyman whose career is not impressive. Silva will probably begin the season as the backup, but it's not out of the question he can start for them.

Might be one to keep in mind with how weak/unproven our GK pool is
