Bierhof just needs scapegoat As you say - he is now playing hindsight, second guessing his own failures
Spiegel say Bierhoff did this cause he a, knows Özil wont like to play for the NT any longer or he wanted to prepare a situation where Özil could not play any longer. A forced retirement.
Hansi Flick is placed slightly higher on the "failed-coaches/sporting-directors-turned- henchmen" world rankings list than Martin Schneider and Sorg. Possibly only Robin Dutt ranks lower than those two. At least, Flick is a proponent of training set pieces or whatever his biggest input was said to be. Maybe there will be an improvement in that area after 4 miserable years.
Unfortunately the entire organization is rotten from top to bottom. The DFB is full of yes men and cowards. No one is willing to take any responsibility for this disaster and to make matters worse the easy decision to fire the coach is not taken for fear of admitting that change is needed.
lol Bierhoff is making it even worse Bierhoff's law Ich verstehe das alles immer weniger.
I think we have to accept that there will be no success over the next 4 years unless player talent overtakes Löws flaws.
Im only 99% certain about this since in one parallel universe that is opening at the next opportunity Löw will move several players onto the stabling siding giving a young and hungry side mostly consisting of confed cuppers playing 3-5-2 a chance for success. Utopia would be in addition one where Özil and Gündogan step infront of the nation apologizing and resigning at the same time.
Never going to happen. Löw has his favorites, and he will never change. Sanè will continue to be ignored in favor of inferior options etc.
The good thing is this nation league thingy is coming up with quality opposition. Löw will right away be under fire if he fails there. No excuses
I already know the excuses. “We are using these matches to test new players and tactics. A couple failures are acceptable to build a team that can win the EM. We will be ready and competitive when the tournament begins.”
Judging by the public mood I dont think that will save his ass. Bierhoff is in the middle of a shit storm 🧐🤫— Mats Hummels (@matshummels) July 6, 2018
I totally agree, for me loew and his backroom staff are the real culprits, whatever issues that were there they should have dealt with it, it just shows apart from being tactically inept, they can't sort management issues as well
Its also shameful that they are now blaming easy scapegoats like Özil. Where is the self reflection in their analysis?
