That's clearly hit Serbia hard, just as they were enjoying their strongest period of the game, Brazil unleashes (in true MK style) a FATALITY.

Serbia looks flat, this could end 4-0.

I find it odd that Paulinho has been getting subbed much earlier than the usal Tite sub.

RA to come in. Why can't we see what Taison or Fred have to offer in a game like this where we're up 2-0.

I think we should go back the midfield we had in qualifying. Give us a bit more control and ore secure defensively.

Tough game but generally positive performance. Probably our best so far in the WC.

Serbia did a good job closing down spaces for long shots by Coutinho (who was good on the armação even if he couldn't shoot). But that opened up some space for Paulinho, which ended up being decisive.

Neymar better overall, not prendendo a bola, but pecando na finalização. GJ meh; something needs to change soon. Willian better than in the last games and decent defensively.

Casemiro was f—ing huge. T. Silva with some key cortes and the goal na hora certa pra matar o jogo. Apart from the two errors that led to Serbian chances, we were solid defensively. Alisson was equal to the challenge each time.

By the end, o Brasil estava sobrando e podia ter feito 3 facilmente com um pouco mais pontaria.

    Relieved most of all.

My daughter decided she wanted attention right during Croatia's best moments in the second half. Half-watching that part of the game was nerve-wracking until the second goal.

    Pra frente Brasil!

He's been bad or borderline bad in all three games. He's our #9 and has no goals yet. I hope he can find his form in the knockouts. More heavy touches and giveaway today.

I thought Jesus work hard defensively but overall I agree he was meh. It is time for Firmino to start. I drop Willian to the bench as well. IMO, I think it time we go back to the qualifiers formation.

The defense has been wonderful, credit to Tite. Miranda, Casemiro and Thiago Silva have been immense. Fagner and Luis was solid as well.

That's where I draw the line. I don't think Firmino is an upgrade. I'd rather have him come off the bench. I don't think he's clinical in front of goal like GJ had been up to these WC games.

I wouldn't expect going to the qualifiers formation yet. RA was injured and has barely gotten time.

Firmino would probably be better in the build up play cause at this point Jesus ain’t offer anything outside of pressing and tracking back which Firmino does as well.

Not exactly the same midfield but 3 man mid with Coutinho on the right. It isn’t ideal consider Coutinho has been fantastic in the midfield role and we lose creativity but I think we get more control.

Sounds like he had a back spasm. He might be OK in a couple of days with a cortisone shot.

That's the problem, Firmino is not really a great finisher. I was disappointed GJ messed up the 2nd chance he had. The one not offsides.

A lot of heavy touches and misplaced passes today. Disappointed the front 3-4 didn't combine better. It almost seemed like they hadn't been playing together at all at times. After Serbia gassed which I completely expected, I thought we could put a couple of more past them.

The defense seems solid and that's a plus. Casemiro, TS, and Coutinho still our best players so far. Fagner and Filipe Luis did well. But we need to sort things out up front.

I will have to re-watch the game as many comments I've seen say we did better than I thought.

I think he worked hard today.
I also don't want to lose the Firmino off the bench option, strange as that may sound.

Also, "Gabriel Jesus de lateral" is exactly what I said when Marcelo was limping off but before Filipe Luis came on.
