    SHM-HHC
    LSW-GYH-KJC-MSM

I'm hoping to lose by less than 3 goals. Although, I think we should expect another WC98 level drubbing coming our way.

Since we're going to lose, I wouldn't mind seeing a crazy starting XI like this...

    ----------SHM-LSW----------
    HHC-LJS-JWY-KJC-KYH
    ------KYK-OBS-JSH-------
    ---------- CHW ----------

I actually think HHC is better at defending than either HC or KMW. I'm ambivalent between OBS or YYS. I'd probably go for the extra height/power of OBS. Obviously, we'll get picked apart if we play the 3 back like we did against Bosnia when the line was so high and the fullbacks all pushed so far ahead. But if we're going to play a deep line without KSY, we may as well play five at the back and have JWY or KJC pump the ball forward for SHM and LSW to just counterattack relentlessly by themselves. I hedged all the play to the left, so that we can target the space that Kimmich will leave behind when he's pushing up in the attack.

I don't know. This shit may be better than just playing a 4-5-1 again and seeing SHM play as a LWB again.

If we somehow beat Germany 2:1 and Mexico beats Sweden 2:1, then all 3 teams will be on 3 pts with identical goal differences of 3:4....by my calcs, Germany goes thru due to being 3:3 in the mini-league between Ger, Swe and Kor....a superior goals scored to Swe and Kor who would both be on 2:2........dang, we need to win by 2 clear goals...

How about forfeiting before the match even begins? Is that allowed?

I originally thought this game was a good idea to give some players some rigorous training but I don't know if it is worth it at the expense of potential humiliation.

The team with least yellow cards go through... FIFA Fair play points.

Korea has like a gazillion yellow cards...

If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above three criteria, their rankings shall be determined as follows:
Greatest number of points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned
Goal difference resulting from the group matches between the teams concerned
Greater number of goals scored in all group matches between the teams concerned
Greater number of points obtained regarding fair play conduct (yellow cards = -1, indirect red card (as a result of a second yellow card) = -3, direct red card = -4, yellow card and direct red = -5, with only one of the deductions applied to a player in a single game)
    Drawing of lots by FIFA

oh yes you are right, it's all group games

[카잔 NOW] 이영표가 본 독일 "정체된 중원, 부실 풀백" 문제는 "우리가 더 약해"

    http://v.sports.media.daum.net/v/20180627150040204

I feel like that is something that can be discussed prior to the game, and I fear this may be true: Koo's form is really bad to the point where including him in the starting XI negate any benefits of his German know-how.

Since those white people are so big and intimidating, I expect something like this. But he'll be brave and have an attacker up, unlike against SWE

I know that you're joking, but I actually get the feeling that this could be one of the best ways to go with this team and coach.

I expect Korea to win 2-0 with good defence.

Honestly, Shin Tae-yong can use whatever "tricks" that's left up his sleeves, we won't be beating Germany anyways. Put on a hell of a pathetic show and get the third loss, I want this fcuker gone.

    SHM
    MSM
    HHC----------------------------------GYH
    LJS----JWY-----LY
    KYG-----OBS-----JSH
    CHW
Exploit Germany's right flank for attack, and GYH/LY will man-mark Draxler all day.

If need be, HHC and GYH will move up and down the pitch to provide industry at the flanks (think Antonio Conte's Italy at Euro 2016).

MSM drifts right or left and draw in German defenders, creating space for SHM. LJS drift wide to cover space when HHC drifts centrally. JWY spray passes. LY help cover GYH's cover, as GYH will be man-marking.
