Hamid shouldn't be called in ever again. Unless like 6 keepers quit or are unavailable. Just not good enough. Miazga looked gassed after about 70. Otherwise pretty much what I expected. Would've been nice to grind out a draw there.

Ok so I will try to be the voice that says:

Guys, it was a friendly with a very young squad. Away from home. Of course the best USMNT would have won this game but that's not what this is all about. I see great team of young players that went shoulder to shoulder against veterans, and they were unlucky to lose.

This team + Pulisic has a great future. Stick to it.

Why did we let them have the ball all game. We should be pressing.

I respect the hell outta Walters - dude's made a career of doing what he did today. Crafty, hard-nosed, gets the most out of his abilities. So what if he's a bit of a prick?

I was thoroughly unimpressed by our midfield.

Don't care much about the final score. Do care that outside McKennie none looked good on the ball and had the ideas/IQ/ability to control and play at tempo.

Yeah, Miazga should have done better, but when you have a 2 on 1 in the corner (de la Torre and ?) you expect them to tackle and clear the ball and not let the opponent play a ball to top of the box leaving you in a one on one facing your goal.

1)people need to relax on the picking out a single play and deciding a players future its crazy.

2)weah was the best attacking player today so if he wasn't good enough for you at his young age then just pick another country to cheer for.

3)its fine if he is good at the us soccer level...thats the level he plays at. the us doesn't have to worry about germany/france they need to worry about mexico/costa rica.

Bobby Wood Man of the Year. Hamid and Miazga need to go to a league where they test themselves against the best.

I know that, but this is an embryonic version of the US national team with an interim coach on the road. The result is not a setback.

Told ya, the Irish are our kryptonite. We're more likely to get a result in Lyon than in Dublin.

I don't think our team looked as bad as the narrators were saying. For one, I liked some of Weah moments, finally.

The midfield got pwned though. And frankly that was not a pretty game, a lot of errant balls and just pushing and shoving.

At least the Irish took it seriously, against us they always do.

Oh I am not too upset about the loss. We saw some positives and some negatives with players. Only player that really annoyed me today was Hamid. But a lot of the mistakes I saw from the team was experience related

Dave Sarachan's "Interim" tag hovers at the edge of the JK Friendly Line. His chance to take his turn squandering the future of the USMNT hangs in the balance, and his Doom calls to him in Parisian accents...... :coffee:

Hence why Twellman penciling him as McKennie's CM partner for the next decade was and is ridiculous.

I don't see much higher level CM ability from him going towards goal. As a LWB or RWB I believe he has a considerably higher ceiling.

I once played in an adult summer tournament in Ireland and I was shocked at how many guys there were like Walters. Big, strong, tactically astute and had the skills to address any situation. Not sexy, but really tough to play against. For a nation of - 4.5 million and where soccer is probably fourth behind Gaelic, rugby and hurling, they can definitely play the game.

Let's not confuse things, good for him he has made a decent career out of mediocre talent, but respect is the last thing you should refer to it as. In a way he is the perfect embodiment of Stoke City, no talent who are content with being the worse team to survive the top tier every year (kind of un-ironic that the first year he left they get relegated).

To each their own, but I don't respect that.

Hamid needs to get serious minutes. Even so, being an 'decent third-string keeper' is his ceiling overall.

    Thoughts:
    1. We look sloppy and disjointed
    2. We lack any semblance of offensive identity
    3. Taylor Twellman is a catastrophic combination of arrogant, stupid, and loud

I don't know what to suggest fixing because I don't know of anything that's actually working.

That's funny because Mexico does not worry about USA. They worry about Argentina, Germay, etc.

hey lots of people were hyped about the three 6 in the lineup...fact is you can't play without a playmaker in the middle.

We can always use the "they were on vacation" excuse just like teams that visit the U.S.

I know it's the internet, but it really feels like we're overexaggerating the heck out of the significance in opposite directions of both Bolivia and Ireland...
