Unless it happened in the last 5 minutes(missed it), pretty normal game. A few guys did get knocks but hopefully nothing major. Kola for example wanted to be taken off but he went out on his own so it didn't seem anything extreme. I noticed Prosinecki was happy with the play(his comments on sportsport) and he really should be. They did seem more sure with their game even though overall they needed more precision(too many broken counters that could have lead to nice goals). Still things to work on but overall good showing.

As for Medo, it was time for him to go and he said he wants to give younger players a chance. He offers good passing and a lethal shot from outside but today's game is also about ability to run and defend. He was a good player for us so i thank him for his contribution.

Overall a solid game. First half we were on the defensive a lot, but unlike qualifiers, we looked solid and comfortable. Second half we were attacking more and looked really good as well.

Visca was certainly the worst player. Missed a sitter, played himself offside when he didn’t have to on the goal called off, several turnovers.

Robi's comments about Saric and Begovic vs Sehic.

SEHic is a great keeper, definitely could play in one of the top 5 leagues, but is making so much in Azerbaijan.

I thought we played great the past 2 friendlies, a bit boring at times but they were friendlies so it was excpected. Against Sengal we were the better side, and that offised goal wasn't offside. I just wish he gave Milosevic, and Prevljak more of a chance. Also Lulic and Medunjanin retiring should give guys like Menalo, and Piric/Milosevic, a spot in the "A" team.

NT is playing a training match in Hrasnica against Famos right now. Score is 4-0 with Saric, Duljevic, Visca, and an O.G. as the scorers.

    Stream:

EDIT: Final score 8-0. Bajic, Kodro, Zukanovic, and Zakaric added their names on the scoresheet. Easy run-out for the team.

Feels like our NT plays there every few years in these sort of games for some reason. I remember a game against Famos from when Ciro was manager. Must be some sort of deal NFSBiH have in place to play/train there or something.

I like that Robi went with Todorovic and Nastic as the fullbacks today. I was hoping they would start against Montenegro with Kolasinac out and looking at the strength of the starting XI today, it seems like they'll get the nod on Monday. Big chance for both to prove their worth and give us some sorely needed depth in that area where we literally have no one who stands out after Kola.

How do you guys rate Saric? Apparently Besiktas and Bursaspor are sending scouts to watch him on Monday, looks like a move to Turkey is on the cards if he does well. I feel like his energy and running is a good injection to this team now with Lulic gone and he stood out in the last game against a World Cup team. Hopefully he continues on that level and proves to be a dependable midfield option for the next campaign.

Absolutely beautiful so far. We still need more precision but they are heading in the right direction. It's weird we don't have Kola or Besic but some of these other guys are promising when it comes to defending(Todorovic, Saric, Nastic). Todorovic looks quite competent going forward too.

I don’t think we are as bad as people are saying.

Our biggest flaw atm is that we lack finishing. Multiple chances we should have scored with a proper finish. But I believe that Džeko will return to form in more important games, he seems to not give 100% in these friendlies.

Tbh, we have lacked intensity in all these friendlies except maybe vs. Senegal.

On the bright side our defense looks improved from the last couple of qualification cycles.

Hard to put much stuck into this one but I thought Todorovic and Nastic looked really good, they may bring the depth to our FB positions that we've desperately needed for a while now. Saric looked pretty good but we could have used someone more offensive in that role today. Cimirot was meh, don't see him as more than a squad player for this team honestly.

Not sure how to rate Prosinecki so far, but we've improved defensively at the same time as we've declined offensively. Don't feel he went with the best team to unlock Montenegro's defense today, but we could still have nicked it. Friday will be a sterner test although whose to say everyone will take a friendly in Asia at the end of the season very seriously, guess we'll see.

    P.S.

Hajrovic has got to be the most frustrating BiH player active at the moment. If his club career wasn't such a flop, he'd easily be starting in this team instead of Visca who doesn't offer much unless he has tons of space in front of him to run into or Kodro who doesn't really stand out at anything and had a horrible game today.

Replay - sites a bit eh sketch, but it's eh ok.

    http://www.replaymatches.com/2018/06/south-korea-vs-bosnia-herzegovina-full.html?m=1

Thoughts: Sunjic was terrible first half, did slight better but CB is a glaring hole for us.

Todorovic was excellent, injury and a couple mistakes but he hustles.

Pjanic messed up a play and made up for it right away but getting back on defense.

Cimirot messed up a few times but I see what Prosinecki is doing. He wants two holding CDM, problem is that cimirot is not the best passer. Highly evident when compared to Besic. Hope besic stays healthy, he's a great player. Also cimirot is idling on the ball too much. Besic gets away with it because he plays similar to niangolan and with his hips.

#2 left back (ciric?) had a great assist and then the following play messes up by giving the pass to the middle of the pitch and then we conceded a goal. Besic said something to him after the assist and I can only imagine he told him to pass it to him since he was up further if I remember correctly.

Dzeko had some good opportunities. Solid all around, so impressed with his passing.

Duljevic was ok, could have been better, he's sloppy at tackling and I'm not a fan of sloppy tackling.

Overall, there were incredibly sloppy moments on defense and if this was a better team could easily have been 3-3.

Visca finished amazing. I said it a long time ago that visca should play a false nine role next to edin and that's kinda what happened. Todorovic pushed up higher to give visca an out option and assist in pressuring if ball is lost. Worked well as he had a hat trick and he scored some difficult shots.

#28 I wasn't too thrilled with. Saric? Sahic? He came on second half, made a dumb tackle.

Sehic is a good goal keeper. Would have been nicer if he saved the goal but he did well in a couple scenarios.

Zakaric and Milosevic came on as well, so did Bico. Todorovic got injured.

Overall it was an interesting game and I'm starting to think that Prosinecki is a Susic clone. Today's game reminded me a lot of the 4-4-2 with some modifications on the wings to cover for lack of quality defenders, 2 defending midfielders, 2 playmakers and 2 finishers. Only difference is 2 defenders now move up higher on the wings to provide assistance.

This was our best performance yet under Prosinecki. Started with a lot of energy and quick ball movement at the beginning and controlled the game well in the second half, even without Pjanic and Dzeko. When's the last time you could say that about a NT game against a decent opponent? That's the mark of a good tactical system, one that doesn't entirely rely on certain individuals for it to work or not (looking at basically every BiH coach in the last 15 years here).

Sunjic and Zukanovic were alright defensively, but they were heart attacks waiting to happen with the ball at their feet. I think Prosinecki has a big problem here if he wants to make this style of play work. We need defenders who are composed on the ball, possess a decent passing range, and are able to slot into a higher defensive line at least relatively comfortably when we're on the front foot. This means we need players with at least adequate technical quality and pace in our back 4 to make this system work to its full potential. The only player we have that has either of those qualities is Vranjes who needs to start at CB as a result whenever he's available. As for who plays next to him, we don't really have anyone that sticks out. I guess the only thing Robi can do here is pick one of Sunjic/Bicakcic/Zukanovic/etc. and test them next to Ogi for a few games and try to build some chemistry and understanding between them. I really would liked to have seen Memisevic get a try at CB in these friendlies after being played out of position during the last break, but unfortunately he wasn't called. Hopefully he'll get back in soon and be tested there, which won't be too long from now if the guys ahead of him keep creating as many scares with and without the ball as they have been.

As far as the GK debate goes, for the first time in years, Begovic's position is actually under real threat. Sehic has started all 6 games in the Prosinecki era and Begovic hasn't played one yet. The former had a stellar CL campaign and is on the move to a bigger club/league this summer while Bego had a decent albeit unconvincing season this year. Neither one is very assuring with their footwork, but Sehic is the better shot stopper while Begovic is superior in the air and commanding his area. Whoever Prosinecki opts for remains to be seen, but there's real competition for that #1 spot now and it can only serve both guys and the team well as a whole as they fight for it.

We finally have some quality coming through in the FB positions again aside from Kolasinac and, um, ACTUAL FBs playing in those areas and not a CB or DM filling the gaps. Nastic looked pretty good on Monday and Civic showed some promise yesterday (but he should stay in the U21s for sure for now), but Todorovic has been very impressive in his 4 caps thus far. I actually didn't see much talent in this guy playing as a LB for the U19s back in 2015, but I was clearly wrong about him. His chemistry with Visca is already very good. He can be our solution at RB, especially if he goes abroad soon and continues his development there which I think is only a matter of time from happening. It would suck to take him away from the U21s when they're on the verge of doing something big, but the senior team really needs someone like him right now and they have Memija and Kadusic who can fill his spot so that could end up being a win-win for all parties. Really like what this guy is bringing to the table until now.

Cimirot actually played well in that DM role yesterday despite a couple of poor giveaways. It's a tough role to play in this type of system where every mistake can be extremely costly but I thought he acquitted himself well. Saric made a horrible mistake and got booked when he came on but recovered well and once again looked like a NT-level player. I think he's Lulic's replacement in the role of being the high work rate midfielder who brings energy and physicality to the team. Like Todorovic, he'd be better off leaving our league and finding a higher level of competition to grow further, but he has a place in this team with the way he's played regardless. Besic was fantastic, having him in the team makes such a difference to our midfield and it's like night and day when we do and don't have him. Still an integral part of this team, but he needs to sort his club situation out now and stay healthy next season. We'll need him.

Visca took his goals well and showed exactly how we can get the best out of him. Expecting him to stay very wide and beat his man on the dribble and send crosses in is not the way to utilize him. Allowing him to make runs in behind defenses and getting the ball to him in shooting positions is how he's made a name for himself in Turkey. He's not a very good dribbler and he's not strong enough to shake players off anyway, but as we saw yesterday, he's a clinical finisher when used properly. Hopefully Prosinecki continues using him in this manner from now on, better off using Visca in that sort of right wing/second forward role than resorting to the old 4-4-2 anyways.

Duljevic looked pretty good but struggled to get involved more often, nonetheless he has the characteristics we need on the flanks and should start in this team. Dzeko's hold up play against several defenders and movement off the ball was as usual strong, but there doesn't need much saying about how important he is to this team anymore anyways.

So going into the Nations League now and the opening game against N. Ireland in September, I'd say our best lineup is pretty clear but there's still a few question marks. Visca-Dzeko-Duljevic is our best front 3, Pjanic and Besic are locks in the midfield, Todorovic and Kolasinac should be the FBs, and Vranjes should be one of the CBs. The remaining dilemmas are at GK with the Begovic/Sehic battle, the other CB, and who the third midfielder should be, although I think it'll come down to Cimirot or Saric for now for that spot with the likes of Krunic and Prcic not entering the argument until later down the stretch.

    Begovic/Sehic
    Todorovic - Vranjes - ? - Kolasinac
    Pjanic - ? - Besic
    Visca - Dzeko - Duljevic

Sorry for the long summary. :)

We need at least another friendly to sort out the problems on defense. Not that it'll happen but yeah.

Djumic the defender kid from Holland would be a good player to test out, would put two rookie CBs if it were me.
