Go here and cast your vote. Not sure if Beck's and Company will see it or listen. But any way... https://fans.vote/vote/ACpBTSCo760/...at-should-the-name-of-our-club-be-let-us-know
I'm sure no one else agrees but I think Sporting Miami sounds good. Better than Sporting Kansas City. But Inters still the best in my opinion.
I did hear about some rumors that these two Becks and Silva may merge, but it doesnt make any sense, Silva is against anything MLS Structure. My assumption is that Silva will be Becks lower division team just as USL and MLS have been doing but now MLS will in fact begin that partnership with NASL as well, maybe to lowly but sure begin the slow, pain staking process of PROMOTION / RELEGATION!!!!! Suck it haters, I think I have insomnia... Who is going to the game Wednesday?
the latest rumour is that THE announcement will be in January if we believe that this is true (if); why no name or colors yet? not even a leak
Because i believe they are unsure bout announcing at the end of january, this seems to be a long process, still.
Oh man, sources say the name of Miami MLS will be something along the lines of Miami Freedom.....thoughts??
REBRAND! Freedom to be everything and anything. Play anywhere and everywhere! With the biggest names, the brightest lights! No speculation too fantastic! Freedom to be the superclub of MLS dreams. Unfettered by reality.
I want you to get a real team - not Real of course - as soon as possible/viable. And not "Freedom." But we've had worse! (Real...)
The Miami Sharks were an inaugural franchise of the third incarnation of the American Soccer League in 1988. The team was renamed the Miami Freedom and joined the American Professional Soccer League in 1990 when the ASL merged with the Western Soccer League. The club played in the Orange Bowl
granted, a bit of history there, but very little history. Look I just cant see this team named as such, the last expansion teams that have entered the league have finally gave up on that stupid moniker of City Noun FC/SC. You have Orlando City SC, LAFC, Minessota United, Atlanta United, NYCFC, but now we go back to this crapt naming again? I thought MLS learned already..... WHY Not Inter Miami or Atletico Miami (Athletics) simple would have been perfect, but there is also the reaction of a few that see this Political statement for the Cuban immigrants. Im not liking it, this should be Miami's team not the cuban exiles team... I hope Marcelo and Becks have a say in this. Or going to a vote maybe with other options. man this is rough, all these years waiting for a team and this is the name?? If true this will bug the shit out of me forever.....
Atletico(Athletic) & Inter are both singular names, one being in Spanish. And for arguments sake, Atletico is aimed at just one group of people as well. If ya want it aimed at all Miamians/Americans and not one group, then the name should be in English, the defacto Language of Miami and America. I am against the use of Altetico, not because its Spanish, but because it and Inter sound too much like copycat names. Id be ok with Gatos, Banditos or even Toros, even though Bulls are not associated with the area.
If it has to be a traditional American sports "city plural noun" name, let it be: The first professional soccer game I ever attended was the old NASL Toros in 1975 or 1976.
Naw man, Toros? we our a city know for bulls? here have at it with this poll: JUST FOR FUN|| With all the hype today surrounding the name of @futbolmiamimls we’ve come up with 4 of the speculated names to poll. ¡Cuéntame!
