Just a postscript on this: I watched some more footage on Liedholm the other night (a sort of highlights package from his Milan days) and, while he was two-footed enough to make it difficult to say for quite a while, he then took a penalty with his left foot - again, not a perfect guide but a very strong indication.

let's also make a mention of the 'honorary left footers' i.e.right footers who made a great left foot contribution to the sport.I mean right foot players who could dribble, make a pass, assist and even score with their left[weak foot].

A genuine two- footers thread would be VERY interesting .

Can't think of too many off the top of my head tbh..

Best ever two footed player I've seen is Glen Hoddle although he's pretty much best at most things ( tackling and heading discounted ) .

Gordillo was a back, very much like todays Marcelo.

Thanks, in the game I watched he played as a lateral midfielder.

He did play both as left back, and left midfielder/winger I know, over his career.

Yes, probably it can be Gordillo also played more as a left-back but I should maybe add a "don't quote me on that" as I haven't looked into it in detail! When I think of all-time players I think of him more among the left-back options, but I suppose it's a harder task to be considered among the best left wingers anyway and in that role I don't think he was so much all-time material although still effective.

He was an attacking left back for sure when he played there, so I completely see the Marcelo comparisons. Real Madrid sometimes/often played Camacho behind Gordillo I'm thinking, hence the left-back being an outright defender when that happened (despite in general not exactly a defensive approach in those teams).
