I cried when Lee Keunho scored against Russia. I did not expect that at all. Thought we were going to get fcked.

no. I was a little kid and didnt know what was really going on. So when my dad told me that the match vs Portugal will determine if we advance or not, I was more emotionally invested in that game

cant speak for anyone else but poland was the first match and i wasnt yet fully devoted into the tournament. also to a kid who didnt know a whole lot about international football poland came across as a weak team. pk win against spain was something else though. later down the road i learned that spanish team basically had the match stolen by the ref but on that evening we were celebrating

Park is truly among the few Korean players who was a talisman for the team. When he played, he made a difference, whether it was a clutch goal or linking passes.
To his credit, he was so humble that not many, both at home and abroad, appreciated him fully until he had left the pitch. I am one of them. His absence is acutely felt, particularly with our current team in such disarray.

it's now 2018 and SAF still openly continues to rue his 'Biggest Regret.' He's Sir Alex. Full Stop. This could just be some minor anecdote he brought up so as to appease Park and the many (and it seems growing by the number every year) fans who were upset.

but to his credit, Ferguson is the one who seemingly will not let it go when asked.

UEFA rule changes would have saved Ferguson from his 'biggest regret'

Every post-2000 Premier League winning team’s unsung hero

    2010/11: Ji-Sung Park

    15 appearances for Manchester United

Mr. Big Game Performer – Manchester United recovered from a slow(ish) start to win the title in style. But while Nani had the league’s most assists, Dimitar Berbatov the most goals, and Wayne Rooney’s stunning displays stole headlines – it was Ji-Sung Park’s relentless industry, tactical intelligence and goal against Arsenal that was one of the key unsung parts of United’s big win.

That is interesting. I sold the man short thinking that he'd soon forget this. But at the time, that stung big time for most PJS fans. I hated SAF after this.

Ugh...I dunno. That's lame. I'm not going to like every decision a manager makes, and I still don't like it.

I don't buy the "big regret" story.

He won the CL without Park. I doubt he regrets that.

Park was included in the following CL final, which Man Utd lost.

This is probably the 3rd or 4th time Ive heard him say this about Park when prompted by similar questions.

I think he's being sincere now.

everyone has every right to their opinion. people are still butt hurt over it, i get that. but the man keeps bringing it up himself, so we have to take that for what it's worth. no one steered him in a certain direction or asked him to revisit the whole PJS thing.

for his fans (myself included) it still stings. i personally remember that day like it was yesterday. i could not believe that he didn't even make the bench. i was dumbfounded. and so were all the guys watching it with me. the majority of whom were not United or KNT fans.

I guess I'll be watching SBS when I'm back from Russia. As much as I love listening to LYP's insights and AJH's commentary.

If we're losing by more than 3 goals, I'll watch AJH, because PJS would be too shy and LYP too polite, while AJH has the record of almost swearing on screen. xD

I normally don't have a problem with SBS commentary, but lately Bae Sung-jae's become very annoying, and as much as I like Ahn Jung-hwan's blunt commentary for MBC, Seo Hyung-wook is an idiot that ruins it for me. I'm going to stick with KBS, Lee Young-pyo's knowledge and insight is too good to pass up on.

Seo Hyung Wook is why I dislike MBC too haha. I do love it when Kim Sung Joo comes in and works with AJH their teamwork is great in the booth and on 뭉쳐야뜬다.

I just hope KBS pairs LYP with someone other than the guy who took over of Jo Woo Jong...

Actually, if you paid attention to what Sir Ferguson said shortly after the CL final, he said something very different from what he has said since. At the time, he said that if you're going bring a sub on in the CL final, it has to be someone who can make an impact, and at the time, it was clearly decided that Nani would have more impact than PJS. Of course, it is easy to see in retrospect after PJS started scoring more decisive goals that he was a player capable of making impact, and this is probably why SAF has since changed his story.
