    Europa League Semifinal
    Leg Two

    1-1 Aggregate

Kickoff from the Wanda will take place at 8:05PM BST, 3:05PM EDT and 9:05AM HST.

The first leg ended badly, but we showed we can create chances against Atletico even when it was 11 v 11. So let's do it again.

    Up the Arsenal.

Would be a fitting epitaph to the late Wenger era.

    Mavropanos for Mustafi? ;)

Probably he's not properly registered anyway.

This game is built for Ozil to shine. If he does, we win. If he does not, we lose. This assumes our defense actually can hold on. Fkk it...I am calling a balls to the wall win!

I have no idea what you base this on. Is Ozil a master at breaking down well-organized packed defenses? I didn't notice him doing that last time, although TBF he was just back from the flu. But regardless if us winning this game depends on Ozil having a bestie, then I'm sorry but that doesn't make me feel so optimistic.

Edit: Actually when I think about it, I think that most of our players will have to have besties and we may have to get some more luck from the refs, for us to advance. Given that they scored an away goal, their game plan probably relies pretty heavily on keep us out of their net. So our attackers, including Ozil, will have to be much more potent than we've been of late. If we score one, and it's 1-0 or 1-1 then all bets are off. But our defense absolutely has to keep them from scoring more than 1. So we need a complete team performance to have a chance. And I have NO IDEA whether we can get that, but if I were a betting man...

We won't score and they'll score two rather easily. Costa will egg Granite (or Jack) into at least one yellow, probably two. We'll dick around with the ball playing sideways and backwards until the 85th minute when we will actually go forward in desperation and come up short. Sound familiar. An appropriate end to the Wenger era of recent years.

The only way we see us scoring is with a 20 yard transition pass from wide areas on the ground or an angled cut back from endline....both are Mesut specialties.

    We are winning this. 100%.

Now, we will probably lose the final.

But we are winning this. 2-1 to the Arsenal!

11 posts (counting the thread starter) the night before a pretty epic match. That about says it all. I personally can't wait for the reset button on Arsenal to be pressed.

Tomorrow is basically a final. Except one in which we HAVE to score at least one goal. And one that we play at the home team's ground.

    Possible? Yes.
    Likely? No.

P.s. News is Costa starts. As will Ospina. Hmm...

Athleti have given up like 3 goals at home, It will take creative dribblers who can beat their man and, get the Defense out of shape, find players who make incisive runs into the box , like Ramsey or Miki..

Bench Mustafi for good. Iwobi adds NOTHING to the frward lime , thankfully Miki will be back .

Just hope Costa doesn’t Drogba us

    039. Ray Jackson - Arsenal Warrior 2017-18 Season 3.jpg

Either a score draw (1-1 or better, that result would send us to extra time) or an outright win sends us there!!! LET'S DO THIS!!!

I’m at Rojos in Birmingham, Alabama for this one for work.

Now that I’m here, I think we have a chance.
