About 10 years or so ago Wenger played the kids in the cups and they did really really well. So you never know.
We can hold our heads up high after that. The kids put on a decent performance against a near full strength Manutd.
There is no reason to hail up Wenger at all. This is a farce. Get him the fuhk outta here. Now he can take one of those jobs he claims he passed over to stay loyal to Arsenal and whatever other nonsense he always says.
We played the kids away against a Mourinho team and lost to a last minute header that our keeper was too short to save. This was a fairly decent outing all things considered.
I'll challenge this. First off praising Arsenal's performance on the day doesn't mean they're praising Arsene, nor does it mean they're saying everything is okay. And I say that who's been on the "out" bandwagon for a few years now. I came into today assuming ManU would win by 3. I knew Arsenal would play a weakened lineup and that ManU would play for the full 3 points. Even if this isn't the ManU of old it's obviously a stronger team than Arsenal, especially when talking about Arsenal on the road. So in my book Arsenal played above expectations today, something they've not done often the past few years. Credit where due, I say.
This is Mourinho, cautious to a fault. He was never going to "rip apart Arsenal" it's not in his nature. Whatever tho
Xhaka had a so-so game...made an awful sliding tackle in build up to their 1st goal, had an assist for our goal, beaten on the header for their game winner. I liked Mavropanos and Chambers together though, they looked very assured together
We had 8 shots total and 3 on target. United scored 2 goals on 3 shots on target (17 total). They had 60% of possession and had 9 corners to ZERO for us. The 2-1 line is flattering.
