Headed to PAOK? Snip: During the trial last month, he trained with the junior team “just like I was a member” and even got to play the second half against a third-division professional team. “I was the only one on trial, the only American,” said Rogers, who also worked out for pro clubs in Luxembourg last summer. “As of now, they want to bring me back for the 2014-15 season, and basically what I’ve been told is, ‘Come back in July and you’re going to join the team and you’re going to be offered your contract.’” http://highschoolsports.oregonlive....pean-route-to-land-greek-pro-soccer-contract/ More here: http://portlandtribune.com/pt/12-sp...-focus-its-all-greece-to-goalie-austin-rogers His personal web site: http://www.austinrogers-soccer.com/index.html His father Glenn played for a previous Timbers incarnation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portland_Timbers_(1985–90)

According to this article, Rogers played several lower-division games in Greece but plans to be in the PDL this summer: After the entire season was said and done, Rogers started six games for three different third division teams in Greece, in which he had an overall record of 4-1-1 with an impressive 0.50 Goals Against Average. http://www.bremertonpatriot.com/sports/291754131.html#
Currently with the Kitsap Pumas in the PDL. http://kitsapsoccerclub.com/austin-rogers-signs/ @Friedel'sAccent @bungadiri Please move to the Academy.
Last heard he was in Albania with a possibility of signing. Trying to find out more info. 647924595111014400 is not a valid tweet id
Alright apparently he has been training with KS Kastrioti, a second division club in Albania, and is returning back overseas there soon.
... and, since it seems pertinent, a few database-type sites are reporting him at second-division club KS Besa. (His own Facebook also says that.)
Apparently he's in MONGOLIA now. Gotta be a first. Assume that's him in the pic on this page: http://bayangolfc.com/2016/06/06/fc-ulaanbaatar-4-1-bayangol-fc-mongolia-football-premier-league/
This is YA. It's never a first. http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/jonahan-romero-in-the-philippines-and-guam.1920590/
And he ended up in the Mongolia PL All-Star Game: https://www.facebook.com/austin.rog...81049395397.1073741844.100007305546109&type=3
See, MLS is not the only league with an All-Star Game. (I believe the J-League and K-League have a joint one.)

I've lost my ability to recognize the truly hot takes of late 2017 American soccer commentary. Is this one?
He was named goalkeeper of the year: After my final season I ended up signing with Besa Kavajë in Albania and spending a season there. Which I was then discovered by a Mongolian Premier League club and spent two seasons in Mongolia. Where I also won the goalkeeper of the year award, and was a two time all-star. Now I’m considering new playing opportunities in Asia, and happy to say that I can play soccer for a living full time. https://www.facebook.com/KitsapSocc...3741827.63471462426/10156141329437427/?type=3 91. As mentioned, he had an impressive season in which he was paramount in saving FC Ulaanbaatar from relegation. He ranked first in the league with 110 total saves and fourth with a 78.0% save percentage. It was recently announced that he will be joining 2017 runner-ups Ulaanbaatar City FC for the coming season. They will have quite the CONCACAF flair with the signing of Rogers and defender Seon Power, who has 43 caps for T&T. https://www.mongolianfootball.com/s...irmed-Austin-Rogers-Joins-Ulaanbaatar-City-FC
Done. A Yank playing in the Mongolian Premier League. Isn't football just the best? Thanks for the heads-up, @BostonRed!
A quick forum search on "Mongolia" turns up mostly this thread and -- a bunch of posts about Freddy Adu. Isn't YA just the best?
