This should've been made a while ago. Brutally honest about our chances and our ability, but still just the right amount of optimistic to get me as a fan willing to wait just a bit longer for him to help turn the team around. He brought the winning mentality that got us through last season, I think he deserves this thread.
If I could rep this a million times, I would. I always love when people are brutally honest, even with me (and I'm far from a saint in any way shape or form). This guy is exactly the type of player that needs to be part of this team.
Dax will end up home in Orlando before long. N-Rod will flip him for a bag of balls and a pile of GAM/TAM and spin it like he's building the infrastructure neglected after Klopas & Yallop were in charge. Except: A) He's actually torn down solid infrastructure in place. B) He works for Hauptman so the garberbux will only go toward reducing the Andell, Inc. outlay, not improve the team. C) They probably need a bag of balls.
With a party of us, sure. There's a fantastic Mexican restaurant within walking distance to eat before, after or in between. I'm curious, have you been to Galloping Ghost before?
If they trade Dax anytime soon I will be very pissed off. I cannot imagine a worse trade the Fire made in last ten years if they trade Dax.
Jones, Johnson, Magee and Accam were pretty bad...... Somehow I think Dax will be traded before season end, it's going to get bad the next 2 months (even the coach said so) and he'll would out and Andi will get some funny money for him. This is definity the last year for BS and probably Niko's and we will start ANOTHER 3 year plan in 2019.
he's better than I thought, but he still annoys me, and he struggles with the increased responsibility this half-baked roster requests of him. he'd probably be a really good piece on a club that gave a fvck.
What the organization needs is a management team which will shake up the soccer world. What the organization doesnt need is wallowers like ourselves. Apparently.
McCarty is, like Armas, very good at what he does. McCarty is, like Armas, not very good at much else. I am not saying it is one-for-one comparison exactly. McCarty is more attack minded than Armas was. Armas was better at breaking up plays. However, both were very good at their roles, but really cannot step out of their roles. Which is why he was so good last season from May to early August. He and Bastian meshed well and had Accam and Alvarez. McCarty, like Bastian, seems to be a pretty smart soccer player.
I enjoy watching Dax off the ball anticipating receiving a pass. His head is swiveling around looking for where he or the ball will be going before he receives a pass. It’s refreshing.
Yes. Yes, he is. He uses his mind to see the open space and place the ball into advantageous spots with one touch. He's the only one on the roster with the soccer brain to play along Schweinsteiger. ...and he's got the drive and pride in whatever shirt he's wearing to do the thankless, grinding work defensively that close otherwise yawning gaps left by his teammates. He's the epitome of a player whose brain and will to work allows him to succeed beyond his skill set. Hope he gets to play for a shirt worthy of him before he's done. Jah knows he's done his time in hell.
Dax getting a piece of a set play WITH his head, in the middle of a pack , at the edge of the six yard box .... If that doesn't speak for it self I don't know what convince anyone on his quality.
What I meant was . . . La Cabanita is merely OK. It likely we’re spoiled after living near Archer & Pulaski & driving by a half dozen places better within a mile radius.
The chorizo (onion and cilantro only) tacos I had there were almost second to none IMHO, I guess it's a matter of what you prefer.
