    Anderson reminiscing about Arsenal:

"I started to play every game. Fergie would always pick me against Arsenal because I always did well against them. Park Ji-Sung always played against Arsenal too. Ji always killed Arsenal. Ronny always did. Three passes and we were away and attacking. Goal.

Our mentality against Arsenal was "let's kill Arsenal." We beat them 8-2 at home [in 2011]. I don't think I saw one of our players make a mistake that day. After we'd scored six, I started to take the p--- with the ball. The manager had to take me off!"

I read that Park's mother's injuries were worsened due to her attempts to protect Jisung's daughter during the crash. This made her passing even more devastating, but I'm sure that the entire family is even more proud of Jisung's mother. What an admirable character.

But seriously, are we going to say farewell until he dies?

Probably. If anyone's deserving of such senseless devotion, he is.

Why? I know a couple of other players that got that senseless devotion and played with the servant mindset. What makes Park so special? At least, can we just get rid of the farewell? It's really not a farewell is it?

No other Korean player had such an established and long-tenured role at a big European club (at least not in the internet age). I dunno, makes sense to me.

Agreed that "farewell" no longer makes sense. The longevity of this thread has been surprising.

Kind of begs the question of whether Son would get the same treatment on this board with another few years in England. He isn't as widely revered / loved as Park is among Koreans/foreigners alike (although he could be as he is still very young), and doesn't quite have the gravitas yet, but I have a harder time seeing it. He just doesn't have the big-game, CL resume yet.

Honestly, I think all the crying has tarnished the potential for him to have a god-like image a bit? I know that's dumb to say but it made him seem kid-like.

who gives a fukc? for semantics you're bitching and moaning?

it's the Park Ji-sung thread. if "farewell" gets your panties in a knot, ask one of the mods to change it then.

ain't nothin' wrong with this man's thread or the fact that we keep posting in it.

So he's a Korean legend because he played for Manchester United. That's your criteria for being a legend?

Son is f@@g with this crying. LOL.

Nah, there's nothing wrong. I'm just pointing out the obvious that you still get your panties wet for someone who sat out of CL final and took it like a dog.

It's incredible how after years and years of shitposting on BS, you still sound like an autistic 12-year old troll.

I think Park's mental and physical attributes made him easier to like. The brave, tireless runner who never gives up will definitely gain praise easier than someone who is just talented. Which, I think, is fair.

Cha Boom is omitted since you mentioned the internet age. Even then, I'd say they're on equal footing.
