All my hotels are booked! now just have to worry about getting from Kazan to Samara and we're golden! Feels good man.
Samara is the potential game for Mexico in round of 16. Don’t know about Kazan. Nice city. Was there last year for confederations cup. Go to the coyote ugly and Cuba libre. My buddy actually got lucky there.
I read Kazan is a fantastic city all around including a better looking Kremlin than in Mocow. Regrettably, I'm not gonna be able to check out St. Petersburg so wanted to stay a few nights in one of the bigger cities. Also, gonna check out the C1 vs D2 game there ahead of our showdown with Brasil in Samara! Also some guy in the Russia thread just said Samara happens to be the Russian beer capital so looking forward to it.
My friend. Whoever told you that Kazan kremlin is better then Moscow does not know what they are talking about. Kazan is nice but it’s no st Pete. St Pete is like the Venice of the north. Really think about those plans friend. Trust me.
Early bird gets the worm. I booked most of my lodging before prices skyrocketed. No tent, mostly hostels. One hotel. Plus some overnight (free) trains. The key is traveling without females (or kids).
Disorganized traveling buddy’s strike again for me so I feel your pain. Thank god for all my frequent flier miles and CC points other wise it’s 5K easy. No trains no hostels for me.
6 Games (all of Mexico's CAT1, ARGvCRO, PORvMAR,RUSvEGY, Messi and Ronaldo) 5 Cities Moscow, Rostov, Ekaterinburg, St Petersburg, Nizhniv Novgorod 2 Weeks in Russia in Round trip flight from Chicago + two flights inside Russia $2.4k
Part is the issue was we did not have definite Tix until recently. If we had gotten them in December it would be a different story. .....maybe.
4 Games MEX vs Korea, Sweden, D2 v C1, F2 vs E1 5 Cities - Moscow, Rostov, Yeka, Kazan, Samara 4 Domestic Flights 6 Hotels 2 Weeks Sitting at about 2.7k. Used miles for the ATL > SVO flight or it woulda been another thou easy.
I said it before. My friends are terrible at planning or coordinating anything until the last minute. They talking about going to Minsk as a side trip. Lol.
^ That's pretty good. I am being mostly cheap on the lodging/travel. I have never been in a hostel....lets see how it goes, plus 'sleeping' on the train 4 nights.
ROFL. I said said to my brother.... do you want to go to this WC?.... he goes ..... 'I don't know...I don't like Osorio's team....but sure, yeah sure'... I said, ok, we are going about 2 weeks and it will probably run 3.5K if we try to do it on the cheap and book stuff early, and not fret about MEX tix ...but I'm sure we'll get them. He said fine. So I planned the whole thing...which makes it a billion times easier. And cheap.
If I wasn't toting around la guerita, it woulda been hostels and trains all the way too. Qatar will be better!
Hahah figuratively, I’ma wife her up in October. But she’s not too keen on the way they treat wormenz and not really interested. Me on the other hand dgaf and will go anywhere to chase the dream!
glad to see we have some people headed to rusia. I've only gotten tickets tothe Korea game so far. Trying to get tickets to the other group stage games. If anyones friends or family flakes, I am going solo
So update itinerary. So far it looks like/confirmed: 1. Arrive in Moscow in the 23rd of June 2. Fly to Ekaterinburg on the morning of the 27th. Hope the game means something and we have not been eliminated by then 3. Fly to st Pete just after midnight in the very early morning of 28th. Still unknown : After that it’s up in the air. May go back to Moscow or may go to Minsk for a few days. Still don’t know how to get to Samara where I hope Mexico is playing lol. For sure I return on the 6 th These logistics are a huge Cluster F##k Lol.
