I think that article SHOULD end the crazy tin foil hat conspiracy theory. She quit for family reasons, and she and her family moved to Seattle where her husband just got a new job. ND wrote a positive letter about her stepping down, not some tersely worded press release. But the Oliver Stone wing of this thread keeps it lively.
CollegeWhispers: I’m sure he probably realizes that in this day and age you cannot get away with hooking up with athletes. Quick and easy way to get canned. He became the AC at Washington State. Why would you make such an accusation?
Wait, so Randy hired his son (a club coach) and his son's friend (a JUCO coach)? This is the best he could find? No one on staff has coached in division 1 soccer in 5 years, can't imagine there will be any violations with that program.
Randy's son Ben was his Assistant at Notre Dame for a number of years. Some people feel that Randy has wanted to get his son back involved with him coaching ever since ND and I guess Pitt is allowing it.
I see that Northern Illinois, among its women's soccer webpages, still lists Ross as head coach. But, in its Athletic Department directory, it lists the women's soccer head coach as TBA. On the Athletic Department's Employment Opportunities webpage, however, it does not list the position. But on a NIU Human Resources webpage it lists the position as open.
Expect to see a former assistant coach or former player who is an assistant somewhere else land here.
The IPFW Assistant may be in the mix as well....former player and that position is listed as open right now. If either the IPFW Head or Assistant got it, it would be a shocking hire. It's one thing to let a coach go who is underperforming, it's another to replace them with a proven underperformer.
Awesome hire for Michigan Jen will be great! Well done to them. Pretty sure it was the IPFW Head Coach northern Illinois spoke to. Also the assistant left to take the central michigan assistant job so I know she wasn’t in the running for NIU.
Good Lord Man! Former Montana coach loves to text: http://missoulian.com/sports/colleg...2e97b9e4b.html#tracking-source=home-top-story
My issue is more the denial of using escort services, when he clearly used escort services. I don't understand the attempted cover up on his part after he had been caught.
It's too blurred, are craigslist, snapchat, etc escort services? The late night "what up?"s from male coach to >=high school female is what creeped everybody out. Unfortunately, that's rampant. Personal observation I know but I've seen a couple of club coaches take "leaves of absences" recently (waiting for player/parents to move on/blow over).
Who cares about Montana. The guy was dumb using his phone to handle personal shady business. Its over he's fired and will never coach a women's team again. Onto bigger and better. Miami with a solid hire. Sarah B will need to go back to her Texas and UConn day for recruiting but hopefully learned a lot as a head coach at GW to get Miami back the competitive in the ACC.
On a seperate note, IU and Purdue are separating in Fort Wayne. So, the new entity Purdue-Fort Wayne will run the Fort Wayne Mastodons. I'm not sure if IUFW plans to have athletics, D-I or otherwise, but it will pretty much strictly be a health sciences university now.
It's correct to say they've separated, but the rest is lacking in accuracy. Purdue will actually manage most of the university, with IU retaining the health sciences. The school will not be IUFW, but PUFW, though to make things confusing there will be an IUFW, though it won't compete in athletics. The school plans to continue operating a DI athletics program. Some student athletes enrolled in a health science field will be ineligible by NCAA rules. http://www.journalgazette.net/sport...01/ipfw-changes-to-affect-athletics-minimally http://www.journalgazette.net/news/local/schools/20180213/ipfw-full-service-division-i-stay http://www.news-sentinel.com/news/l...gold-as-part-of-purdue-fort-wayne-rebranding/
Question! Is UTSA open? I'm not seeing that anywhere. Sheen is clearly out but it looks as though they are going interim for the year.
