Maybe its a 'good' thing that some of our players are having 'bad' spells now rather than in WC's past, the year before our players have the form that's out of this world(Adriano and Ronaldinho in '05 and the whole of Brazil in '09, and Fred in '13) so maybe this can work in reverse like in '01!!

If the form of the players haven’t improved by April or May I will be concerned.

    G. Jesus is out for 6 weeks and pray that he doesn't get injured before the WC!! Or we maybe forced to use a false 9!!

Damn you said Naldo!! You took it back!! I don't think Naldo has played for us since Dunga's 1st stint in charge!! One thing he was the tallest defender to have played for us!!

    No suitable substitute for GJ.
    That is worrisome

Explains why Guardiola was trying to get Mahrez. They knew the news but didn't want to disclose it due to negotiations.

Tite says Alisson, Daniel Alves, Marquinhos, Miranda, Marcelo, Casemiro, Renato Augusto, Paulinho, Coutinho, Neymar e Gabriel Jesus, Thiago Silva, Fernandinho, William, Firmino are guaranteed call ups for the WC.

Apparently, he even named the starting XI also. What was the need for this? BTW, Ederson will also be there surely. Not completely sure who the remaining GK, DF, LB, RB, MF(s), FW will be. Hopefully, no one will be injured (is this why he named these players, so that they do not pressurize themselves too much?).

Those names are what we expected. 8 spots remaining we can probably rule out Ederson and 3rd choice GK. Also, the fullbacks will probably be one of either A. Sandro or F. Luis for backup LB and Fagner or Danilo for backup RB.

I’m guessing the last 4 spots will be contested between Taison, Malcom, D. Costa, Arthur, Diego, Guilano, Jemerson, Luan, David Luiz.

He mentioned Jadson and Edilson from Cruzeiro are on his radar. Full interview coming out in the next few days.

Firmino was the only one I thought might not be 100%. The rest were expected.

Add Malcolm, Alex Sandro, Fagner, Arthur, Luan, and Jemerson and that's a World Cup winning squad right there.

This is the same shit that done us in WC's '06,10,&14!! When Parreira, Dunga, and Scolari gave guaranteed spots it gives our players a sort of complacency and a lack of edge!! And the way Neymar is playing flapping and whining and G. Jesus surely won't be in top form by the World Cup...I'm deeply worried!!

Can’t blame none of them to give certain players guaranteed spots. A coach will always side with the players he has worked with throughout the 4 years cycle. Now, if someone did what Julio Cesar did under scolari his name should not be a guarantee.

GJ is back to training at Man City. Could be playing on Monday. Very good news.

Tite said the one surprise on his call up would be in the midfield position.

I heard Tite is considering a 3rd striker as well. More of a targetman.

Marcelo hurt today. Looks like hamstring. Literally ran his ass off vs PSG and moron Zidane didn't rest him.

On the bright side, he will get rest for the World Cup. PSG will also be happy. ;-)

I seriously doubt Tite will consider him considering he has hardly played this season and his position is stack with competition.

any chance Firmino gets a call-up for the tournament? He's been amazing for Liverpool in recent months

Looks like he was ruled out. Let's just hope we can get him in one piece for the WC...
