Ok - You said the Rest of the World. You are aware the rest of the world doesn't play on the same schedule right? That article is all over the place, especially with regards to the USA team. Utter tosh.
In UEFA, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Republic of Ireland, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Moldova all play spring-autumn seasons. (Yes I know they’re not all top flight nations). Russia used to play spring-autumn until a few years ago. (I suspect they agreed to go autumn-spring as part of the deal to host the WC.) IMO, even taking a Jan-Feb break like several European FA’s won’t work in the US and Canada. Attendance in northern cities will suffer too much in late Nov, Dec and early Mar. Edit: China, Japan, and South Korea also play spring-fall.
Exactly. The only schedule that MLS could use that would be worse than the current one... would be all the others.
Just found out there are 9 dates for ticket exchanges this season: March 24th March 31st April 21st May 9th May 12th June 9th June 13th August 11th September 22n
MASCOT SOCCER IS BACK!!!! So, I'll be at Mapfre on 8/11. Plan accordingly. Some other promotions were announced, too: https://www.columbuscrewsc.com/tickets/promotions
"On September 29, when the Black & Gold host the Philadelphia Union, Crew SC will commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the 2008 MLS Cup and 2008 Supporters’ Shield. More details will be made available in the future." Every time I see this ********, I want to puke.
9/22 is Hispanic Heritage Night. Will La Turbina be there? Oh, who am I kidding... paging @Bill Archer
As much as I would want to see players from the 2008 team back in the stadium I hope every one of them turns down the offer.
It may be a fake cup, TFC May be plastic, and ML$ is corrupt. Even so, I want it to go beyond the 2018 season, not end. To me, “finale” implies that there is no 2019.
Unfortunately we are at a barren pit of dispair called C.R.E.W, F.U. P**********t 2018 where I am not sure which team is plastic in that sham cup.
Frankly, the situation in Austin has turned into such a Charlie-Foxtrot that I think the Crew will be here in 2019, simply because they’re not going to get their act together before that.
Dude. We play Toronto twice in 2018. This is the second game of the series and thus the finale of the Trillium Cup for this coming season. Much as I don't trust MLS either, let's not see things that aren't there.
Careful. Keep using logic like that, and someone in here will ask you if your favorite club is Garber's Nut Sack.
Perhaps I’m a little overly paranoid due to recent events. But, in years in which we hosted the last game of the Trillium Cup, I don’t recall the promotional schedule referring to it as the finale. Maybe my tinfoil hat is on too tight.
