The problem is Stanford and UCLA are young and are recruiting
    lights out.
Fortunately they can only play 11, but their depth showed against
    us in the 16.
    The solution.
    1. More speed up top (must be skilled with ball), not just fast.
    2. A dominant Holding MFer
    3. A dominant CB to take Koivisto's place.
    4. Depth.
Some of the solutions may be on our roster.
Assuming we get the fast Forward to complement DC, I'd consider
putting K Mc at HMfer . Another option would be moving Emily over.
The holding MFer is so key to both defense and offense.
Jaelin Howell could be the solution.
    We'll see.
Will be interested to see who Mark brings in.
Who doesn't come back and who Transfers in?

Did Adrienne Richardson transfer to LSU? I know she was committed to them before the really late flip to FSU.

I have no knowledge of this. Of course, I have no
    inside source, so...?
If I hear anything, I will be sure to post.

Word is that she IS going to LSU. Question is why they would take her after she flipped on them so late in the game?

What do you think it means? It seems like a lot of transfers compared to 10 years ago. I may be wrong, I am sure cp has some data.

This could mean, "This is the generation of transfers."
It could mean, "We are getting a generational transfer."

    Other?

We really need a speedy forward to complement Deyna.
Dallas has speed, but is not skilled with the ball.
We need speed with the ability to easily take on defenders.
    Adrienne was not that player.
The freshman Stanford has from Brazil was the difference between
them winning NC and finishing 2nd or worse IMO.

She is next level. Agree far more important than Sullivan in Stanford's success.
Catarina Macario. Best player in college soccer and possibly beyond. Tore her ACL when she was about 14 or 15. She is few and far between.

Don't know that speed is necessarily the only way to go. A similar player to Deyna with skills and smarts to play off of and combine with would also be successful.

Deyna is next level with ball skills and creativity.
It may not be absolutely necessary to have that skilled
Pace forward, but it undoubtedly helps.
Cheyna was that on our NC squad perfectly complementing
    Dagny's skill and toughness.

Much better to have it IMO.

The midfield has been our main weakness the last two years, imo.

In case you FSU fans haven't heard, Dagny is pregnant. Good for her, not so good for the Thorns.

I like Villalobos in the mf

    Pezzino - Ole Miss
    Daly - Auburn
    Richardson - LSU

Those are the transfers thus far. FSU carried its largest roster in years last season so transfers where inevitable That said it would be nice to have an off season without a transfer. Part of me wonders if after every season Mark doesn't just flat out tell kids after year one if they will play in the future or not.

I don't know, but I'm confident that there is a post season assessment
of what the player can expect next year.
BTW, where do you get your info about transfers?

Absolutely he does. As should all coaches. These players know where they stand. Some are given an option to fight back and are successful, some try to fight back but ride the bench as they were told they would, and some chose to leave and have success elsewhere. The players at FSU cannot say they didn't know why they were not playing.
And there will be one more leaving.

Dagny is pregnant- CONGRATS to her!! It will also mess up the Icelandic National team, but she will be back!
