We dont have youth player because of Borghi. He did nothing at youth level not sure about Guitierez but he didnt stay to long to really do something. Aguinaga scrapped some players together. But the biggest person here at fault is Esteban.

We will keep getting worse if we do not set up and project youth players. If we sell all our good and promising players we need players at youth level ready to take there spot. Signing old players wont help either their level of play is constantly declining along with being injury prone.

At this point I know we dont have youth. I am not saying we should start playing them but to start calling them to the first team in case of more injuries or in the hops that by calling them up we some how stumble across some who is ready to play in the first team in those defensive positions.

Great Quinteros right when he was getting into rythm suffers a huge injury he will be out for 4 to 5 months.

Vega will be out for for 3 to 4 weeks. Salaberry is still in recovery.

Henry Quinonez is fit to play but not sure how good he is.

Munua really needs to have players from youth ready in case more injuries come along. Kevin Minda and Jorge Carcelen are the only names that come to mind and hopefully we scrape a youth CB cause we need one or imporvise Carcelen if needed.

Not investing in good defenders is going to kill us. Who ever Munua uses in LB (Villalva, Quinonez, Carcelen) I hope play solid. Narvaez now your time to claim RB to your self and shine.

Jonathan González is joining Liga?! I hope they didn't pay a lot for him. I'm sorry but he sucks so bad. He is probably the biggest disappointment I've seen in a while because he had so much potential. He has failed pretty much everywhere and now he is back in Ecuador. Not exited about the signing but I hope at least it was for pennies.

That was really necessary we have Padilla, Batalla, Julio, Guerrero, Rodriguez, and Julio. Plus he is in a really bad moment we dont need that right now.

Why didnt we go after Corozo again this guy is officially ridding bench in Granada B and is now 22 years old. WE NEED a solid defenders preferably a LB and some one like him could even play RB and CB if needed.

I really hope the rumors people are making about Repetto coming to Liga turn out to be true or end up becoming true. We need a coach with experience some one proven not some guys who just finished coaching one team.

Can someone tell me why does Liga play their player so far apart from each other?! The tactic is freaking horrible. Everyone seems to be in an island. I hate the way they are playing tactically. They lose the ball so easily because there isn't anyone around to pass the ball. Then if they want to pass it, they have to telegraph the pass 15+ yards away to their nearest teammate. So hard to watch Liga play right now. Just frustrating. No wonder they're in the 9th place.

The directors of Liga constantly say that they see hard work from him in the training grounds I really wonder how long they will keep their patients with him and what they see from him during training that not being shown in the actual games ?

Honestly the patients they had with him is odd not sure if its true or because he is a friend of their which Liga now a days has the mistake of doing. I didnt see this kind of patients with Aguinaga and tbh he never had a solid fresh start he inherited the mistakes from Guitierez and Borghi.

What is going on with this team? Is it strategy? Players? Coaches? It's frustrating to watch them play with no energy and confidence.

Well Estebans poor decisions are causing big tension now. Rodrigo Paz even told him to consider leaving Liga. He is tired of the poor results.

Manua? Hard to really think how good of a coach he really is. All I would say he isnt experienced enough or prepared in any way to turn Liga around any time soon. Especially not with the players he put so much trust in (Rodriguez, Olivera). I feel like there might be some hope for him next season but only if we truly build a team the right way.

At this point we have to have some hope in him cause Rodrigo and Esteban are not giving up on him and do not hold him accountable for the results but instead the players. I hear they really praise what he does in the training ground but I really wonder about that. Again they might be giving him to much trust.

We all know Guerrero will leave due to his loan being up. Rumors starting that Joao Rojas is in our orbit. Also we will be Anibal Chala for 6 month loan.

Not sure how you guys feel about Rojas and Chala is great but we will only have him for 6 months and he is coming back from injury he will leave once he is recovered and getting back to top form :( .....

I still pray he gets Mercado & Corozo back. Mercado is riding bench in Bulgaria and Corozo is rotting away in granada b.

Kevin Mercado doesn't necessarily ride the bench. He gets decent amount of playing time. He's not a consolidated starter in his team, but he plays as a starter sometimes and other times he comes off the bench.

    https://www.transfermarkt.com/kevin-mercado/leistungsdaten/spieler/189482

He's off to a good start since it's his first semester in Europe. Next season with the ability to do pre-season and fully adapt I think he's capable of being successful. At this point I'd pass on Mercado. He could've been a great option in January, but not now. He's out of our reach.

My names that I'd consider now are:

    Joao Rojas
    Joffre Guerron
    Cristian Penilla
    Arturo Mina

I'm glad we could nail down Anibal Chala. Joao and Guerron are in talks with other clubs, but it's worth a try. Penilla I would definitely go all in for. Same with Mina. Chao Olivera, Rodriguez, and I'd let go of Guerrero if we get Penilla and Guerron/Rojas. Esteban needs to move fast and make sacrifices. I'd also get rid of Munua and welcome Repetto to Liga.

Alright guys Liga made a historic victory yesterday. We officially have been able to qualify in CONMEBOL cups in every South American country. I hope this gets momentum going for us locally.

Barcos said he would stay and try to work out his contract with us. Thank god.

I really think Liga should go for Azcona and Nunez. Its rumored that were looking for a foreign GK but some like Azcona who is known to have big performances in Copa would be a great option for us. Nunez is free he plays both LB and RB he would be a good player to have since Chala is leaving also might get Ecuadorian citizenship I hope he does cause that a huge plus for us to go after him. Salaberry might get his as well so that would be a plus for us to keep him.

Players we should also look into.

Kevin Mercado. This dude played 90 min maybe once this season and comes off bench almost every game. He is not going to do anything important in the league he is in or move to a bigger team like that.

Pervis Estupinan. Same with this kid played 90 maybe once and comes off bench almost every other game. He is in a second division team and it not really worth it for him to stay there.

Fernando Pinillo. Would be a great CB for us to have since a few are on there way out. At this point he probably looking for more playing time since he really hasn't gotten any this season.

    Azcona,
    Narvaez, Lucas, Salaberry, Nunez
    Orejuella, Intriago,
    Quinteros, Cevallos, Mercado
    Barcos

    Liga de Quito B Team
    Viteri,
    Quinteros, Canga, Pinillo, Estupinan
    Bolanos, Vega
    A. Julio, Cardenas, J. Julio
    Anangono

I really wish we let go of Gonzales cause it retarded that he starts in RB over Narvaez . Esteban also needs to stop making signings all by him self let Repetto do that. Esteban isnt going to single handily sign players again that will win us a cup he has to stop thinking that.

Absolutely LOVE what Liga is doing this season. They are going HAM on the signings right now and finally Esteban did his homework and figured out that you can't win a campeonato with half ass players. Look at BSC and Emelec. If you can't compete with those squads, then you just don't have a slight chance. NOW we do.

Jonathan Borja: AWESOME freaking signing. The best of this season so thus far. This kid was the MVP of El Nacional.

Orejuela: I don't need to say much about him. We need his kid of experience in the midfield and it is GOLDEN for us to have someone as great as Orejuela.

Anderson Ordonez: BOMB signing! Young and most of all FAST defender which is what we needed to compliment Salaberry or De Lima. Looks like if Salaberry doesn't get his Ecuadorian citizenship, Liga will look to loan him out of sell him since he has another year with us. Works for me.

Franklin Guerra: The rock solid defender El Nacional had last season that shined. He was Capitan as well. We need that experience and leadership. GREAT deal here with Guerra joining us. AND he came as a free agent if I'm not mistaken.

Barcos is VERY close to renewing this year as said by various great sources in Quito that are trustworthy. He will be signing most likely this week. And one more surprise.....Cristian Penilla will be joining Liga de Quito as well. He will be presented along with Borja once it's 100% confirmed. Borja is in 100%, BUT Penilla is about to be confirmed and the progress is going very well. Maybe by tomorrow or later this week he will be confirmed like Borja was today.

Goal keepers? We are getting an EXCELLENT one. Anyone familiar with Matias Dituro from Bolivar? Really good Argentine goal keeper. Signing him will be a big plus.

The Mario Pineida rumors are up in the air and very tough for him to join Liga, but he's trying to find a way out BSC. Other than that Cristian Cruz is one of the top options for Liga to sign for this season which isn't too bad. He's not great, but there's almost no options in the market. We need two left backs either way.

The Guerron rumors are false. He's supposedly too expensive to have in Liga and Rodrigo Paz tried to get him to join, but it didn't end up happening. If everything goes through our team will look like this:

Dituro; Narvaez, Salaberry/Lima, Ordonez, Pineida/Cruz; Orejuela, Intriago, Cevallos; Borja, Penilla; Barcos

    WHAT A TEAM!!!!!!! EXCITED!

Esteban is still pulling his crap again saying de dont have money. It seems they are going more for Leonardo Burián now. I was liking the thought of Cristian Bonilla huge colombian prospect and nt gk. And yes Dituro as well.

We just let go of Carrillo. I was a fan of his game. Young promising tactical forward we just let him go. I wish he got moré playing timé.

Betancourt. He wasnt a starter but did have a few games where he saved us and was important. I know Liga did want to renew him and i wanted him to stay as well. now Emelec and BSC are going to try to go for him.

Narvaez. I swear how did he rid bench with us he was a solid rb we beneched for Gonzalez. Now we need to look for another rb that wont be near as good as him. I know we have Quinteros but again we need to have 2.

Rumors for Guerron are still coming. I hope we didnt let Betancourt go just to bring an old ass guerron. And i hope the deal with penilla becomes official soon before it falls due to money.

That Cárdenas guy what are your thoughts on him?

I don't think Barcelona will let Pineida leave.

But Jesus what a team Liga would have next season.

This puts them on the level of Barcelona (even with the addition of Victor Ayala).

As far as the keepers it looks like tables turned and Burian is the first option. But yes personally I would’ve loved Dituro and then Bonilla, but Dituro seems fit for Liga and wouldn’t be as pricey IMO. It’s getting a bang for your buck with him. Bonilla’s price tag I bet is a lot higher and salary too.

I really think Esteban let go of Narváez, Carrillo, and Betancourt due to money. Otherwise he would’ve kept them all. Reality is none of those players are in a great moment today and only of them (Narváez) has consolídated himself in a top club. I think letting go of him was the dumbest thing on earth.

As far as Carrillo I wish we would’ve kept him but honestly right now Liga wants to win something and I’m sure Esteban is thinking in now, not in tomorrow. He’s desperate and that’s why he signed top players this season. Problem is the budget can only go so far. Which is why we also let go of Betancourt. I’m positive BSC will reap the benefits of him. Same with Carrillo wherever he goes. Other teams have the time especially BSC and Emelec. Liga is thirsty! Has no time to wait. We’ve been waiting. Personally I’m a fan of giving the youth opportunity and investing in them because it pays off long term but right now we need something. It’s about to be 10 years since we won sh*t. We need Guerron, Penilla and whatever top quality player we can get to be the top team we were. 8 years empty handed is long.

Guerron supposedly came back into the picture. Esteban said they’re talking. I feel like Guerron would be an asset if he can recover himself. It’s either him or Penilla at the moment and supposedly Penilla is more viable. But who knows.

Cardenas is a good player but let me leave it to you like this. Do we need Cardenas? What if we end up playing a 4-3-3 which IMO is the best bet given the players we have now? Orejuela, Intriago and Cevallos would be the trident in the middle. Up front with Borja, Guerron/Penilla, and Barcos. There’s no room for a 10. The question is will repetto play with a 10. I think Cevallos has enough creativity coming from his feet for us to not need a 10. Especially if we place 3 players in the mid. I’d rather let go of Cardenas and have the money to bring in either Guerron or Penilla without worrying about money. We would have the Julio brothers, Guerron/Penilla, and Borja. And hopefully Hansel batalla comes back in form. Midfield as back up we have Vega and Alex Bolaños.

Anibal Chala is staying in Liga so we are set on the left. What we need is a starting right back and two substitutes (left and right back).

If we had money Bonilla would have been it. Getting him would be like getting a 24 year old Dominguez but with more potential. But now even if we managed to get him on loan from Athletico Nacional after that there would be no way we could keep him cause yea price tag and salary for a guy his age if definitely high.

Esteban said he wanted to keep those guys but we dont have the funds to keep them. Thats bad cause if we cant afford to renew Narvaez who the hell would we get to replace him ?

Betancourt officially went to BSC. Emelec would have been better since they let a bunch of their attacking players go or loaned them out he would have gotten more playing time there. But if he breaks into BSC with all their competition then we know he was the real deal.

And yea I feel the same about Cardenas. This is a player who Estaban brought to Liga. He brought him to Liga to be the next Damian Manso. It a nice idea and part of me wants him to stay to live up to that potential. But he not a player Repetto would have chosen. Cant play wings or CM. This whole season he was trying to think of how to have both him and Cevallos play at the same time but like you said they cant.

It not worth having a player like him on Bench. If we release Cardenas and have a spot for a foreigner open might as well go for a cheap foreign RB.

Anibal Chala is staying another year. Borian coming to Liga and it will be official this week.

    Pending:
Barcos- they want a message from him by tomorrow January 3rd. If not, Liga will cease pursuing him.

Guerron- If Barcos doesn't come, he becomes a top priority for Liga and will almost inevitably join. If that happens, a foreign #9 will be signed as well meaning either Salaberry or De Lima will be let go of.

Penilla or Guerrero- Repetto is more inclined for Fernando Guerrero right now because of he knows Guerrero since the Independiente days. Big mistake IMO since Penilla is a much better and consistent player IMO.

Left back and right back- no news here. Liga is moving quietly, but it's quite obvious that Cristian Cruz is still an option for left back (substitute) and Mario Pineida wants to leave BSC badly at all costs.

That's where we stand right now. Not too good when it comes to the flanks. And I mean that in attack and defense. We are centrally strong with good center backs and great center mid, but the sides are weak AF right now.

Guerron is garbage. Why would anyone in Ecuador pursue him is beyond my imagination. He’s been trash for 5 years. Unless you’re referring to another Guerrón.

Guerron was MVP of the Libertadores in 2015. That was 2 and a half years ago, almost 3 (since it was in June 2015). He's been on decline ever since then which is understandable, but coming back to Ecuador he'd be able to pick himself back IMO. Just like Arroyo will do in BSC this season. He was nonexistent in Gremio, yet you guys are signing Arroyo right? I heard he's fat and out of shape (AGAIN) but I bet you he will be one of the highlights if not THE highlight of BSC in 2018. Fidel has fell off the radar, but I bet going back to Ecuador he could pick it back up. It happens. I would never discard Guerron, especially since Liga is his home team and he's a fan.

On another note, you guys are building a monster team. I'd assume Copa Sudamericana can definitely be achieved this year with all those top signings and more to come. I heard Kevin Mercado and Michael Arroyo are the next 2 to be announced.
