Hope this is ok to post mods - as the ticket thread is for well ticket discussions.

So far Aeroflot have limited flights available in and out of host cities, with their subsidiary Rossiya offering more options currently.

I have seen some limited point to points on Ural Airlines.

Some Rossiya/Aeroflot flights are offering routings via Simferopol in the Crimea - somewhere personally I am not too keen on flying via/to.

Still waiting on S7, Pobeda and UT Air to release availability.

As I work in the travel industry, happy to monitor seat availability for people if they wish.

Were you guys able to book the train ticket? I tried booking but can't get thru at the end, there is no more red letter and doesn't give me a reason. I had to choose foreign document instead of rf passport because rf passport required 10 letters. I am trying to book for 2 people. Do you have to covert your alphabetical name to latin?

Next step of my planning to Russia 2018. I've already booked a flight between Rio de Janeiro - London, now I need to book from London to Moscow.

I think that is too early, I'm still waiting for more flights to Russia, especially to Moscow in the upcoming weeks/months. Do you guys agree with that?

Regarding the trains I see many routes between host cities that is not covered directly.
It will be a pain in the ass going by train from Saransk to Kazan IF one must take the route over Moscow.

No free trains yet, still waiting for the final schedule.

There are regular direct trains for Saransk - Kazan destination.

I don't know if it's too early. maybe maybe not, I'm of the philosophy that the longer you wait the higher they go. tomara que nao! But from London AIRFRANCE/delta has flights and AEROFLOT. so there are some choices out there.

So far, the cheapest one is a Air Moldova flight, with a quickly connection in Kiev.

I'll follow your advice and try to book my flight next week, after pay for WC tickets.

I just bought LAX to Paris, staying there for a few days then Paris - Moscow during the WC. It was cheaper than direct lol.

Getting direct home though.. I used Google Flights which I highly recommend.

Does anyone know if there are likely to be direct flights between Kazan and Samara? I'm looking to do back-to-back quarter finals but the only option I can find is a stopover via Moscow.

Aeroflot allegedly one of the most dangerous Airlines in Europe has some cheap tickets to fly between Russian cities.

I got 2 direct flights, pretty cheap.

Damn, "Aeroflot... most dangerous" is not what I wanted to see. I booked with them from NY to Moscow. I hope the plane doesn't malfunction.

You got to take risks in your life.

    Flying even relatively safe anyways.

Actually, they used to be dangerous long time ago, now they are pretty good, so do not worry.

There's a pretty interesting video on YouTube of two guys who go to some club football at Spartak, go inside Luzhniki and then St. Petersburg stadium and then take an overnight train to Kazan to go to some club football all while previewing these stadiums and the train system.

I can't for the life of me find it (not in my history either from a few weeks ago) but if anyone else has seen it I'm sure atleast a handful of people would be interested here.
