Is the league he's scoring in generally considered a proving ground for young players who tend to move up Liga MX after showing well or is it just a place for guys without much top flight future to still earn a check? And what are his prospects for moving up to first team minutes in LigaMX? At 23 (24 in March), Alonso isn't old, but he isn't young (by international soccer standards) either.
