SACKED SACKED. Bauza is SACKED !!! Favorites to replace him - Ramon Diaz ( If only Hilal does not win Champions League ) Regehkamp - Former Hilal coach Sami Al Jaber Bert Man Wijk Eric Gerets Chrtisian Gross - Former Ahli coach
This was coming specially after losing against Bulgaria. Who would you consider as favorite?... I don't think they will consider BVM.
First I don't understand the objective of Saudi FA, is qualifying to WC is enough for them or do they really care to have some results. You can't play with players emotions just before WC and keep sacking and bringing coach of there choice. BVM said in another interview , that is he is welcome to come back but he wants freedom and work the way he wants which I don't think will happen. Anyways , I see a disaster waiting to happen to in WC again and bringing back any of the coaches which was tweeted yesterday will be of more icing on disastor. I was once wishing Saad Sehri to coach the team, but he is too young to be. I hugely suspect Ramon Diaz will be pitched in after ACL finals..
With the Saudi FA President Dr. Ezzat visiting Al Hilal's squad in Japan, something tells me that Diaz would probably be the next coach for the Saudi NT. With Diaz in, I believe Nasser Al Shamrani will be out from Saudi NT line-up for the WC2018. Let's wait and watch. http://www.alhilal.com/en/news5892.html
Well, Arriyadiyah also stating following on their twitter account: مصادر لـ"الرياضية": الإيطالي #مانشيني الأقرب لتدريب #المنتخب_السعودي، يليه الأرجنتيني #أنطونيو_بيتزي ثم الهولندي #مارفيك مدرب #الأخضر السابق..
It says, Roberto Mancini nearing to coach Saudi NT... And not Hilal has lost the ACL, Diaz will be potential contender too..
So, Saudi Arabia plays the opening match against Russia... Russia will be under more pressure in front of home crowd and specially in the first match. Saudi Arabia should take this opportunity as Saudi Arabia is capable of beating both Russia and Uruguay. Egypt (who Saudi Arabia plays in the last game) is a different proposition and is toughest of all the teams in the same group. Positive results in first 2 games can give a sigh of relief in the last group game against Egypt. Must win against both Russia and Uruguay (which Saudi Arabia is capable of doing).
To prepare against Russia, Saudi Arabia needs to play against the likes of Serbia, Slovakia, Italy, Holland, Czech Republic, Iceland To prepare against Uruguay, Saudi Arabia needs to play friendly at least 3 friendly matches against the likes of Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil and Argentina. To prepare against Egypt, Saudi Arabia can look into playing friendly matches against the likes of Congo, Uganda, Mali, Zambia, Cameroon
