I think it makes sense to have a separate FanID thread from a ticket thread. Post all questions related to the FanID's here! If the mod's disagree, feel free to delete. If you agree, can you move some of the posts from the ticket thread in here?
I applied and seems straight forward. My question is for children. It states somewhere that they will want a birth certificate but there was no way to attach anything to the application. Besides that it seemed straight forward and simple enough. Had to play around with one of the pictures to get it to accept.
Damn, tried to upload about 10 different pictures. None of them accepted! It would give an error like "face too far from top of picture" even though it wasn't the case at all. Or "excessive head tilt" even though I'm looking directly at the camera. Maybe something weird with the shape of my head or something.
I did not see anything regarding birth certificate for kids. You will think that passport information should be enough. Thoughts?
FAN ID Hotline p.s. passport will do just fine - 99% sure. It's just a weird translation of their requirements for locals.
I applied for FAN ID 7 days ago, I received an email right away with an application number. But I have not receive the "Notification of Approval". Has anybody received it?
I couldn't even get past the photo upload part but I've heard of others getting approved the next day. Did you check your spam folder?

Exactly what information do you need to submit with your Fan ID application? I've definitely got tickets but never got the confirmation email for some reason. Wondering if the ticket request ID from the ticketing portal will do the trick.
Update on this: they sent me a text message this morning that my application was approved. That was only about 5 hours after I applied for my fan ID. My wife's application was also approved within 24 hours. So the turn-around time appears to be quite quick.

Did you ever receive an email like this? Your application ###### is registered. If the ticket number and/or ticket application number is indicated correctly, you will receive notification of approval of your application after verification with the ticket order register. After this, your FAN ID will be mailed to you in a letter to the address specified during registration.
Yes, I received that email right after I submitted my application. Then 4-5 hours later I received a text message saying "your application ### has been approved" (strangely I didn't receive an email that it was approved, but this all happened this morning so maybe the email is on its way).
Which delivery option did you guys go for? I chose Visa centre in my city, but just hope they get them delivered in time as i will be out of town about 2 weeks before the world cup starts.
Is there an option to change the passport number after you've successfully applied for a fan ID? Only because, I will not be able to renew my passport in time before the reservations begin in December for the free train.
Couple questions, just got mine approved..just hours after I registered.. 1) does this replace the need for any Visa? 2) I selected the mail option, but the address structure is all messaged up. No way US post office is able to deliver that... house # is after the street name, region and district are vague...I just put my State in one of them. Any one have ideas on how it can possibly get delivered,
I know what you mean. Is kind of set up for European type format. I just played around with it until I got something some what closed to what I wanted.
