Phoenix Rising FC added a second player with World Cup experience when it announced on Friday the signing of renowned Manchester City and Chelsea midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips. Head Coach and President of Soccer Operations, Frank Yallop, said, “We’re thrilled to have a player of Shaun’s quality and experience joining us. This is another step toward making us one of the most competitive clubs in USL.” http://www.phxrisingfc.com/news_article/show/755551?referrer_id=2950255 Chivas All-Time Leading Scorer Omar Bravo Signs With Phoenix Rising FC http://www.phxrisingfc.com/news_article/show/760708?referrer_id=2744045 Phoenix Rising Football Club Signs Former Leicester City and Watford Defender Jordan Stewart

With all these superstars, regardless of their ages, is the Phoenix Rising FC Soccer Complex going to be expanded from their 6,200 seat capacity?
http://www.frontrowsoccer.com/2017/04/25/frank-departure-yallop-resigns-phoenix-rising-coach/ A FRANK DEPARTURE: Yallop resigns as Phoenix Rising coach Apr 25, 2017
Its strange that he resigned after only 4 games. I know his wife is now established in Northern California in the real estate market so he probably figured he no longer needs to go through another season. I don't think he was happy with working with the USL team as opposed to an MLS one. You would think with his all star cast of players (even at advanced ages) would have thrilled any coach but I guess not Frank....
I heard different stories. First that Drogba was surprised that Yallop quit but then again, getting all his big time players in there from England, Frank may have saw the writing on the wall and got out while he could. Sooner or later, he will probably have left or been fired either way. I also heard Frank may be a players agent. I'm not sure how true any of these rumors are but they live in a very affluent area of the Santa Clara Valley (Los Gatos/Saratoga) where the reported average household income is almost $240k with a net worth of $1.5 million and his wife loves the area. I think he has other options though. By the way, it doesn't say on the web site but was Drogba with the team last week? I read there were 7,000 fans to see him play in KC but couldn't see if he played or not on the statistics page....
7,162 to be exact...lol apparently no he did not make the lineup sheet: http://www.uslsoccer.com/phoenixrisingfc-swopeparkrangers-905507
