Lansing United is the first "new" club in PDL, that was never announced previously. Lansing is making the move from NPSL. Doesn't help the NPSL lawsuit and feelings.

Looks like there will be a new team just outside KC too. http://m.ljworld.com/news/2017/dec/...-coming-lawrence-and-topeka/?templates=mobile
I like this ... I wish all of our affiliates would be able to do that. Nothing wrong with this at all!

--------------------- Agree 100! I like involving university students in team operation. So the PDL besides grooming players , can also groom team operations employees. Good idea.

They chose #1 btw. I've talked to co-founder Mike Vest before and he really seems to care about how important the community factor is in soccer. They seem to be doing everything off the field right and hopefully that translates to on the field as well. It would not surprise me to see them jump to USL2 eventually and I have the upmost confidence that they would be able to do it successfully.
If someone has some extra time, could you come up with a list of new teams and teams that are out? Thanks
I did this the other day but have to find it. They are +2 but added 12 teams, so 10 are out. Including Wilmington, apparently, which has yet to make news IN Wilmington.
Looks like Burlingame (folded, we knew), BYU (went back to college club level), FC Boulder U23, Jersey Express, KW United, Nashville SC U23 (dumped by parent club “to focus on building a champonship-level professional side in 2018”), Saint Louis FC U23, SoCal Surf, Tampa Bay Rowdies U23 and Wilmington are out. That would be 10. The Palm Beach Suns are now Next Academy Palm Beach and South Florida Surf is now North County United. Corrections and clarifications are welcome.
New clubs are AHFC Royals, Birmingham Hammers, Colorado Pride Switchbacks U23, Corpus Christi FC, Great Barrington, Mass., Kaw Valley FC, Lansing United, Lionsbridge FC, Memphis, Ogden City SC, Santa Cruz Breakers FC and SF Glens SC. And it appears as though the Fresno Fuego is now Fresno FC U23?
I had thought Evergreen were out--there had been an announcement to that effect (or so I thought); the website is defunct, AND an NPSL team, Northern Virginia United, are set to play in the same stadium. BUT, they sent out an email announcing tryouts today; and they're listed in the 2018 schedule. In the meantime, NV United still has 7 rostered players listed. They had 8 last week, so one has dropped out. So I'm confused.
