Is it right that Kevin Harr (Choi Min Soo) is only 1.85 meters tall (6'0 - 6'1)? Since he's almost 18 he's likely done growing, I doubt he can play keeper at the top level at that height. Song Bum Keun is 6'4 though.
Kevin Harr has to be far far above others to be No. 1 keeper because he may change his mind any time. The only reason he has a spot in NT is that he is good but not all that good. If he were better he would have likely wanted to join German youth team. On the other hand, in a Femi-Nazi country like Korea, his position in NT is a lot more secure because his mother, not father, is Korean.
http://m.kfa.or.kr/news/news_view.asp?BoardNo=14596&Query=Gubun=11301 upcoming u20 qualifier. It'll start in November 2. Some noticeable players include: Lee Kangin, Kim Jungmin, Jung Wooyoung (Bayern), and Keven Harr. It'll be interesting to see how Lee Kangin plays with the national team. I think it's the first time he'll compete in a tournament for us. I'm also curious about Jung Wooyoung guy and if he's really the real deal. Never seen him play. Another name is Kim Chan, pretty curious if he's the future striker for us. Never seen him play, just heard some words. We can finally see it for our own eyes. Joo Youngwook is also in the squad, I don't really rate him but he seems to switch position or something cus he's labelled as MF. I wish Choi Jun (Ulsan) got selected. I saw him play and was impressed. He was like a classical winger that we don't usually see from a Korean player nowadays. Fast, full of tricks, can beat defenders etc. I personally think he's better than the other two Ulsan players selected for this squad. I don't really rate Oh Sehun (just tall) and Kim Hyunwoo seems overrated CB.
The U-18 team recently had a friendly with Busan's pro team and they lost 1-3. Kangin scored an assist.
LWJ's height was only 182 cm.. and he's one of the best keepers we've ever had.. I dunno how good Kevin's reflex is tho..
I honestly doubt that Kevin Harr will have a big career (debut in a first league) or that he'll stand 100% behind his decision for KNT (afaik, as soon as he turns 19, he needs to decide a nationality because of military issue). He's welcome to prove me wrong.
he has absolutely no chance for the German NT, a footballer's career will probably feel incomplete if he never plays at international level. I'm sure he will try every avenue to make the KNT, Song Bum Keun is more highly rated and one of our best u20 players so I don't even think it will matter much.
