Forgot Gintner - now how do I change this POLL delete the thread and create anew one? Matheus Sammer what do I do?
Well Ginter will play central defender at Gladbach, so I guess he's no option for the wing back part anyway
Then maybe as CB ... on the CB barometer .... Just want to know if one can add or change anything on the POll
Bild saying that Hoffenheim are keen on wanting Felix Passlack if Jeremy Toljan were to leave. http://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/hoffenheim/scharf-auf-dortmunds-passlack-52625722.bildMobile.html
2017/18 should be an interesting season to watch at FC Köln for a pair of young fullbacks. Lukas Klünter begins a fresh campaign as their top option at RB. While they've invested heavily on brining in Jannes Horn at the LB spot for the future.
Updated outlook at the fullback depth charts for 2018-onwards towards the future: RB: Kimmich, Toljan (both), Weiser, Henrichs, Klostermann, Passlack, Klünter, Stenzel LB: Hector, Plattenhardt, Toljan (both), Halstenberg, Max, Gerhardt, Itter, Beste
Niklas Beste will need to leave Dortmund though in order to progress in his career. Similar to how Passlack is going on loan to Hoffenheim for 2 years. They have too many players right now. Schmelzer is injured atm, but is technically still their team captain. They then have Guerreiro and Toljan who can play there. Even Zagadou has been used as LB this season.
I also think that Erik Durm is done. At least as in terms of being an option. His injuries appear to be pretty complex. The move to Stuttgart that was reported to be close in the summer, basically collapsed because he failed a medical.
Martin Schmidt said that Yannick Gerhardt should be returning as a midfielder, which could mean a big opportunity for Gian-Luca Itter to continue getting that LB spot at Wolfsburg.
Kimmich has been incredible Joshua Kimmich has now recorded 9 assists; more than any other player in European World Cup 2018 qualifying. Can't stop, won't stop. 🔥 pic.twitter.com/wZVcIcd4cu— Squawka (@Squawka) October 8, 2017
Maxi Mittelstädt's performance in Hertha's match against Zorya in Europa League shows that he's a capable LB prospect when given the chance. It was also his debut for playing in European competition altogether. It's too bad that he's playing behind Plattenhardt, who of course is the regular starter at Hertha. Going out on loan could benefit Mittelstädt a lot. Maybe even a full transfer if the destination is right.
He's one I've been wondering if BMG will pursue as Wendt's successor. Both he & Passlack could fit that squad very nicely...especially if they can replace Hecking with a coach like Tuchel...throw in Eggestein for good measure and that could be a beautiful team to watch that's just pumping young talent through alongside their slick vets.
New update on the depth charts: Immediate core of options RB: Kimmich, Klostermann, Henrichs, Weiser LB: Hector, Halstenberg, Plattenhardt, Max Changes: Gerhardt has been moved towards playing more of midfield or attacking wing Potential future options RB: Toljan (both) Passlack, Klünter, Stenzel, Boeder LB: Toljan (both), Gosens, Schulz, Holtmann, Horn, Mittelstädt, Itter, Beste
Philipp Max is now tied for most assists in the BL with 6 after Augsburg's win vs Wolfsburg today. I wonder if he makes a move to a bigger club next summer. That should certainly boost his chances for the NT looking towards 2020.
Philipp Max speaks about his time in the Schalke academy learning from Norbert Elgert, and his dreams to make the German NT. https://www.wa.de/sport/schalke-04/...kes-talentschmied-norbert-elgert-9368353.html
RB Leipzig are working to sign Marcel Halstenberg to a contract extension. His current deal with the club runs until 2019. There's also reports of interest from English clubs. https://rblive.de/2017/11/29/auch-m...rb-leipzig-verlaengern-rangnick-werner-bruno/
Philipp Max now topping the assists chart in the BL, getting his 7th of the season in Augsburg's win vs Mainz today. Gerrit Holtmann made his second consecutive start for Mainz as LB and scored his first career BL goal.
Augsburg's sporting director, Stefan Reuter gives his recommendations for Philipp Max as an option for the German NT. http://m.sport1.de/fussball/bundesl...p-max-vom-fc-augsburg-kandidat-fuers-dfb-team
Lenny Borges of HSV U17 could be the next major RB prospect of the future. He's drawing comparisons as a player who is similar to Dani Alves. https://www.welt.de/regionales/hamburg/article171028306/Ein-Spielertyp-wie-Dani-Alves.html
FC Nürnberg's LB, Tim Leibold has been one of their top players this season, and is aiming to help his team in the promotion battle. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...eibold_darf-keinen-geben-ausser-den-club.html
Benny Henrichs reflects on his campaign so far, and hopes for an improved Rückrunde. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...ichs_ich-habe-die-wm-nicht-abgeschrieben.html
Maxi Mittelstädt with an assist in Hertha's final EL match. Looks like Hoffenheim might have a pair of youngsters at the fullback positions to watch for; Alex Rossipal at LB and Johannes Bühler at RB.
interesting thing about Mittelstadt and EL 3 games played, 3 assists, 1 assist in each game played. Having an assist vs Zorya, Athletic Bilbao, Ostersunds which also means he has an assist vs all 3 GS opponents!!! also here's hoping Buhler and Rossipal get more chances to play this season. Hamburg seems to have plenty of up and coming fullbacks Knost, Vagnoman, Behounek and also Borges. that's hopefully the next position to be given chances at Hamburg. Except for Behounek the rest are like 16-17 years old. If Vagnoman is given a chance, could be our 3rd player from the U17 WC to play 1BL this season.
If reports are true about Hoffenheim selling Kaderabek, then it looks like the RB position will be between Passlack and Bühler. I think Nico Schulz is a decent LB, but added competition between him and Rossipal could push each other to see who makes it further. Just like if Diekmeier leaves HSV, then that opens up the RB spot. I'm guessing based on seniority, Behounek goes up first. But after him, the secondary spot can go to anyone.
