the links been taking down, but in a nutshell'(remember, I'm still a bit pro Sampson) there was an investigate report made by Bristol Academy, of possible Sampson in appropriations/ But it still concluded that Sampson could keep on coaching. The FA chiefs only found it out about this last week, but with this newly found one along with the Aluko allegations, I guess it was worthy enough to get him sacked.

    take it the first goal celebration vs Serbia was more that the players & Sampson knew what was coming. but still showed that most of them were on Samspson's side;

But now even the FA investigation is shrouded by controversy
    https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...lenn-contradict-lawyers-sampson-investigation

and here's another controversy(if they haven't had enough all ready). at the stadium where the Serbia game was played

And there is a Q&A with the FA head of women competition

No promotion / relegation. If space available teams outside the FA WSL can apply

“If available, applications would be welcome from clubs with a girls’ or women’s team playing affiliated football this season and who can meet the requirements for either tier 1 or tier 2. Application packs are available now for clubs to review (see below).

Note : wording is made so that Manchester United can apply as they have an RTC team up to the U16 level

here's a pre game vid where for the first 10 min. the commentators discuss the sacking of Mark Sampson.

I totally agree with their assessment, that Sampson did an excellent(on the pitch) job of promoting woso in England to a point where now clubs are spending more money on it than anywhere else in the world. But the FA should of investigated Sampson before hiring him(for instance the now infamous Bristol Academy report was made before). The commentators also discussed who might be the next NT coach; in the lead. Nick Cushing(Man City) & Emma Hayes(Chelsea)/
I kinda prefer Cushing; he probably bring in some of my faves, Beth Mead, Rachel Daly & Melissa Lawley, and play a strong, winger game, instead of the over-the-top balls of Sampson. O the other hand, based on some of the comments(as's analyst on tv games too) that Hayes makes might make her an controversial figure in similar vain as the last two, But hiring a female coach seems to be the in thing these days. Its interesting, in her last match she started the big bruiser, Katie Chapman(another non Euro pick) as an attacker, over the likes of Aluko & Ji.

The new 'game plan' or restructuring seems like a good idea and I like how the England FA is doing alot to support and improve women's football on the whole for their country. The amount provided for the teams in tier 1 and 2 are fair, at least to me, there is so much they can do with the amount.

But my question is though, correct me if I am wrong, there will be no promotion and relegation at Tier 1 and 2, so the clubs are then gona always be the same? So it doesn't matter if you are bottom or top, in a way or 'so to speak'?

There will be a few changes : Yeovil and Sunderland will go down because they do have enough money to go full time pro. Some other FA WSL 1 might not be rich enough as well and go to the tier 2 that will have a new name.

Instead richer teams from FA WSL 2 can come up to the FA WSL 1 and if there are less than 14 teams selected in December, teams outside the FA WSL can apply in March, so Southampton can apply, same as United. West Ham have just said they will apply to FA WSL 1, they currently play at tier 3 in the FA WPL.

The FA apparently ask for a minimum of £400,000 budget and full time training. Yeovil said they need to raise £350,000 and Sunderland went from full time to part-time to save money. Sunderland's men team are £100,000,000 in debt...

Chelsea were poor in the 2nd half, they dropped way too deep.

the coaches were trying to be too much to be chess masters than allowing their player to be play to their natural abilities. The BM coach has a habit of warming up his team for the first several minutes by over passing(to get his squad in rhythm), so heads up by Hayes for employing an blistering high press t early on, though it did seem to tire the team a bit later. Not sure, but I would of started Aluko, Davison & Dunn in preference of Bachmann & Kirby, and how on earth did Ji fallen off grace? But you could tell that Hayes wanted a way more physical team in there(with all the Scandinavians) even though she's got two of the roughest players in woso all ready in Chapman & Bright. Guess though a new rising star for England in Blundell.

a 1-0 win is nice, but easily can thwarted if BM goes on a streak & put a couple in(like all those thwarted chances they had early in the 2nd half). Worle really blew it by not putting in a more counter attacking team(like having the winger, Laudehr playing CB instead). I will be expecting more instant offence from BM on the return game, starting the likes of Laudehr at left/fwd along more with the likes of Volkova & Berensteyn

here's the full Arsenal/Bristol City replay

the WSL is proving to be a lot more balanced that I first thought; along with the Arsenal tie, both Man City & Chelsea managed only one goal wins against the supposed bottom dwellers in this last weekend's fixtures. But at the same time, got to wonder too if the star studded Arsenal is just rather poorly coached; especially again the no name. BC, who's 17 year old. Hemp, crushed them with an amazing goal & who's only other notable figure, Claire Humphrey, was last written up at the Hottest Women's threat, rather than for her accolades on the playing field, lol

Nothing to play for except for teams trying to qualify for the Champions League as place in WSL1 is decided on the off the pitch money.

Chelsea and City are three points ahead of Sunderland and five points ahead of Reading, Birmingham Arsenal and Bristol. The way things are going, halfway through the season, this will be settled and it will be a two horses title race and other teams just playing for the sake of it.

That's why the FA are going to give bigger prize money to motivates team in a meaningless season.

another coach goes, Arsenal's, Pedro Martinez resigns, but it's probably cause of his club's current 6th place standing in the league.

Hope this isn't attempt to put another women in there as coach; interim Mo Marely's first attempt as NT was less inspiring to say the least

Losa sacked for lack of results in his 3 seasons and rightly so.

though they got the current league lead, Man City is having a hard time out there; they Birm City had the lead all the way till the 73rd minute, until a couple of pk giveaways did them in

    WSL 1 table ( all 4 games)

    1 Chelsea 12 pts +19

    2 Man City 12 pts +10

    ----------------------
    3 Reading 7 pts +7

    4 Arsenal 7 pts 0

    5 Liverpool 6 pts +1

    6 Sunderland 6 pts -7

    7 Birmingham 4 pts -2

    8 Bristol 4 pts -10

    9 Everton 0 pt -6

    10 Yeovil 0 pt -12

Reminder next year’s places in the top division are based on team guaranteeing they can bring £400,000, whatever the level they are playing are currently and even teams who don't exist today can come in.

It was deadline for the FA WSL 1&2 teams to apply for the new Tier 1 and 2 for next season. Tier 1 = full pro team, Tier 2 semi-pro.

FA WSL2 team Watford have decided not to apply and are relegated to the third tier ( currently called FA WPL but that name will change)

FA WSL1 team Sunderland have decided not too apply now. They will try to apply in March when the new entrants will be allowed to apply. They want to partner with a uni apparently to get the minimum funding needed ie 400k£.

FA WSL 1 team Yeovil who have a small budget have applied but their chances of having a Tier 1 licence are small.

FA WSL 2 team London Bees have applied for a Tier 1 place.

There are 14 places in Tier 1 and 12 places in Tier 2 that are up for grabs. With up to 19 teams in the running, new entrants will be allowed to bid and Man U will probably get in.
