not to get too political here, but was pretty surprised to see QNB (Qatar National Bank) billboard on the sideline in Saudi given the situation, but anyway.... congrats Al Hilal I guess...
Incredible game. I'd say wannabe Mourinho's team thought they will just have to show up to seal semi-final spot. I don't like GE, but would have loved they qualified. P.S. And I love this "no away goal in ET" rule.
obviously shanghai is affected by missing two of their best defenders, that's why Boas chosen two use defensive tactics in regular time. that's very dangerous cause their ability of defence is so poor compare with their forward line
Perspolis up 1-0 early. Edit: lol I'm telling you any excuse for Arab Football Confederation refs to give Iranian teams trouble. Red Card Perspolis. Any excuse. Laughable really
Red card was somewhat deserved. Kamal didn't watch his leg. He could break the other guy's leg. http://tamasha.com/v/BbxPm Persepolis first goal by Ali Alipour http://tamasha.com/v/PyxzB
28th minute. Another 8-0er flails around after virtually no contact in the tackle. He is giving quite the impression of being a fish being caught and flailing in the boat.
Yes the showmanship by the guy was great. I'm seeing him run up and down the left side a lot. He must have truly been hurt by this tackle. He was going for the ball but the 8-0er got there first.
Posted it late 36th min now. IRIB3. High foot by "Welly" very dangerous. He seems confused that his side could get a yellow card for any reason.
I am confused at how high the 8-0er team can jump to avoid tackles and dive from the air. Why does Michael Phelps win gold medals and not Mohamed Abdel Shafy?
Another dive by Leonardo and once he sees no card will be given he gets up as quickly as Trump does to tweet
That should've been a penalty for Perspolis. But I'm not surprised. I got used to these kind of tricks from Saudis.
the referee is not very consistent. It is as if he suddenly decided not to make a big decision? But he already made even a bigger one, after 10 minutes play. If that was a red card when he could have been lenient, then this should have been a penalty too, with less impact than the previous decision.
He is very consistent actually. With who he makes decisions for and who he makes them against. Edit: And the money runs out in the 83rd minute!
3-1 PERSPOLIS. LMAO SO MUCH MONEY IN THE WORLD ALL THE BRAZILIANS IMPORTED FROM MARKETS. BASHAR RESAN/MENSHA>>>>>>>
Justice was done, even with 1 man down Persepolis evenly matched the opponent. But Al Hilal is a lot stronger than Al Ahli. Whoever wins the west semifinal will win the final. Both remaining Japanese clubs are weak and Shanghai only have Wu Lei and 4 foreigners, rest of the team is cannon fodder.
I haven't watched the match but from what you are saying, you should not think Saudis cheat all the times (Al Hilal vs Al Rayyan and UAE vs KSA in WC qualifiers are two good example to think otherwise).
Al-Ahli, Al-Somah, Al-Finished baby. Persepolis baby, Per-se-polis. The Persian Red Army demolished the Green Lizards playing 80 minutes with a man down.
Congratulations to Persepolis. I don't have any gripes against the Chinese referee. He was actually alright. The red card against Kamiabinia was unfortunate but by the book. The non-penalty call on the contact against Taremi wasn't egregious even if a penalty would have been arguably warranted. On balance, Persepolis deserved to win and go through. And very glad to see them get the job done even playing a man down for most of the match.
