That's just beyond stupid. Also our fans are pretty tame compared to other supporters.

We would still have controled our destiny even if Uzbek had won. Just we'd have needed a win.

have you forgot the blunder the referee made in the last WCQ when you played Uzbekistan. If that match was properly officiated then you guys would have been home during the world cup

"Our destiny is in our own hands" shouted a Korean fan. Technically it is, but realistically is it? I mean when was the last time Korea defeated Uzbekistan in Uzbekistan? Or any team away from home for that matter? You haven't had a single away win this cycle.

If you do go to World Cup, it will most likely be due to Iran's result against Syria and Iranian sportsmanship by playing with purpose against Syria. Otherwise, from a national intrest point of view, Iran would gain so much good will in Syria and would score a propaganda coup in the Syrian war, by sending Syria to the World Cup which will make millions of Syrians happy with Iran and the Syrian government. And if Koreans were in similar situation with a chance to send North Korea to World Cup, they probably would do the same. I would too as well, if it was up to me. But fortunately for Koreans, Iranian players usually value sportsmanship too much to pull this off. I hope I'm wrong though. We shall see.

Regardless of governments, I'm sure Koreans on both sides would want the other Korea and Koreans to succeed in sports. That was the case in 2010, when most Koreans here wanted a result against Iran, to send NK to World Cup.

To answer this, yes, technically and realistically we control our own fate.

Ultimately, I think Korea will manage to sneak in somehow, as they always do, something like back in 1994 WCQs with Iraq doing the job for you guys against Japan in injury time. But, I highly doubt you will manage to beat Uzbekistan in Uzbekistan. Your qualification will most likely be because of the results of other matches. You'll see what I mean , it will be high drama.

lol that is a weak and random thing to say. you are cherry picking. not going to respond. anyways, uzbekistan also benefited from referee error in tehran when they beat us because our goal was incorrectly called offside.

The KNT couldn't put a goal behind a 10-man Iran... I'm not sure if this team deserves to go to the WC with that kind of result. Though that Iranian clean sheet record is remarkable, Korea should have been able to put one through.

Bad result for Korea. Not beating a 10-man team at home. Lost opportunity if there ever was one, as Uzbeks lost against China.
Yes destiny still in your own hands. On the flip side, Uzbekistan also has their fate in their own hands and they will play with purpose at home in order to qualify for their first ever World Cup.
    Koreans should be worried.

I think they will eventually make it. Korea even in this state should minimum get a draw in Uzbekistan

You are probably right. Uzbekistan also tends to choke when it matters the most, as we all know.
Still, if I was a korean fan I would be pretty uncomfortable in the current state, going into the last match away from home and avoiding a loss. Hasnt Korea suffered three consecutive away losses?
    I would be nervous.

But lets see how they perform under pressure.

I would add just one ultimate thing : You warned us we were going to see "Persian spirit" but we saw nothing apart an iranian midfield under pressure most the time and invisible strikers.
From now, you have been looking incredibly frustrated, you might secretly wish to eliminate us to take your revenge for the the successive eliminations Korea inflicted you (2007,2010 and 2011) but unfornately for you nothing happened. And thus you get even more frustrated than before (even if your team is doing very well, you still seems very affected by the past).

So at the moment, you're changing your speech to maintain, somehow, your sweet illusion than Iran has an impact on KNT's faith. But no, in fact, Korea does not depend on Iran to qualify. Since you failed to eliminate Korea, you're saying, we're going to qualify because of your sportmanship. In fact, we do not pay any attention to your team at the moment, so please stop being self centered and delusional.

Korea don't usually qualify easily. Only in 1990, 1998 and 2010. This one is not too much worse than others. Yeah 3 losses are new but... HHC, SHM will be healthy by Sept 5, KSY will be reasonably healthy. Korea on paper will be very strong by Sept 5.

We lost final home games in 1997, 2005, 2013. We drew in 2009, 2017. This means we never won a final home WCQ since the current format of WCQ started.

Not the end of the world. Iran did not play better than us today. Unless you are superstitious and think of "Iranian Mystique" or something we were just unlucky.

P.S. It is so amusing... the trash talk by a loser whose country never advanced to the round of 16 in WC.

It's been 2555 days since you last scored a goal against Iran...

It's been 4380 days since you last won a match against Iran on Korean soil...

It's been 8760 days since you last won a WCQ match against Iran...

Yeah I'm frustrated that Iran has been dominating Korea so much lately, that it's not even fun to banter with you guys anymore. I actually feel bad about it, knowing your misfortunes as of late. If anyone here is delusional though, it's you brother. Iran is #1 in Asia and a level above and you know it. And I assure you, you will have one eye on Iran's match the last day, because your team's fate will most likely be sealed in Tehran one way or another.

You missed the point and it wasn't even difficult to understand... Well, if everything is okay/good for you, why are you sharing all day your hate ? Just enjoy Iran performance by your own.

There is no hate whatsoever. Do I want to see the Korean team fail and get humbled? Yes I do, because many of the Korean players and fans feel entitled and act arrogant. But I don't hate Korea or Koreans at all. I actually like Koreans and Korean culture in general and I would genuinely support Korea at the World Cup or over Saudi Arabia if you made it to the play-offs.

Anyways, I'm out for now. You'll all realize the wisdom of my words on Tuesday. Good luck to you in Tashkent. You'll need it.
