We're currently losing to Oxford in the cup and to make things worse one of our old academy players deemed to be not good enough has scored the goal.
Our players appear to have given up, we'll probably take back our record from Blackpool for lowest ever points finish. We appear to have exhausted our finances. I hope there's a good plan for next seasons survival campaign.... http://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.u...ited-announce-146-million-cash-loss_21846.htm We just don't seem to have the infrastucture for the Championship, we always end up nearly bankrupting ourselves trying to stay in it, the increasing wage bill has killed us...
League One will be fun next season if the club don't get their act together, we'd probably struggle against most top half teams at this point. The forum looks nice btw.
It seems our chairman has taken the easy/cheap option and appointed Paul Warne as permanent manager, he's either skint or given up. Roll on next season.
@Myshoe - start us a new season thread? I know you're not in the Championship anymore but still... or is there a new one somewhere else on here?
https://www.bigsoccer.com/forums/other-divisions.99/ is where a topic for a League One club would go.
I wouldn't want to mod a forum with arguments. I think of myself as a de facto moderator of the Israel forum which rarely gets posts from anybody else. The moderator rarely posts and hasn't posted in a forum other than Yanks Abroad since October.
I posted on one message board that ceased existing, and I'm talking about the whole board (albeit much smaller than BigSoccer), not one forum. I often don't spend the time reading the biggest topics in forums I read. A moderator can't choose to ignore topics in forums he or she moderates.
A. Love the "sunbeam" business. B. I left out the "n" in the title of my 2017/2018 League Championship title...
I suspected back in April that appointing Paul Warne was a poor decision, as an ex-player he had support and he might have took his managerial badges but it's a big step up from fitness coach to management. We've gone from one disaster to the next ever since Steve Evans mysteriously left except for when Warnock worked his miracle, he's not messing about with Cardiff this season either. I think we're broke and running fumes now as a result of our time in the Championship, our chairman probably spent a lot of his own cash getting us there in the first place. I just hope this season doesn't turn into a relegation scrap.
LOL. There's been a few games where we've been rampant but I think some of the better managers have neutralised us and we don't seem to have a plan B. I'm not going to complain though whilst we're pushing for the playoffs, a top half finish will do me this season and playoffs is a bonus. Keeping Frecklington fit will be key, we missed him for long periods during our spell in the Championship but he is like the Iniesta of League One.
Recent form suggests a late season relegation battle and if Ipswich recall Kieffer Moore in January we're going to lose our single biggest goalscoring threat. ****
Rotherham? A sincere point of view from Sweden? A serious bad taste...that´s it..you like Rochdale. A serious bad name and I don´t think a football club from either place is going to erradicate what´s been going on. From Sweden this, just imagine the bad PR your place has got.
Our form picked up in December and we're back in the playoff hunt, relegation fears pretty much diminished even if we have a disastrous second half to the season. Ball has been scoring for fun too. Wolves1889, if I understand your post correctly you're referring to some particular 'cultural' problems that has affected Rotherham? what's that got to do with football and how can our club do anything about it? is this a political forum now? The problem here (and probably everywhere else it has happened) has been a left wing Labour local government paralyzed by political correctness, ignoring and covering up certain crimes because it was politically inconvenient. Ideologically driven governments/politicians ignoring the will of the people is one of the main reasons why Brexit happened. We weren't even given a vote on the EU as a political union because half Europe had already voted no. Enjoy your democracy while it lasts.
