This is the height of doody-headism! First you cause the error, then you point it out. It's all so diabolical. SJE's strength of schedule was missing too. But it was SJE so nobody noticed or cared. Also, SEA does not, in fact, have the easiest schedule. Don't get your hopes up, RSL. Expansion really plays havoc on the spreadsheet. I thought I had everything in order, but obviously my mind was rattled by the pestering of bothersome nincompoops.
Thank you for the mention and propping up of all things doody. Doody had a great game tonight with 3 assists. Your DCU found a way to take points away from those Canadians and the start of the Toasty season, finally. Even though I'm doing the low carb diet to lose some weight, I have to say all hail Toast Jesus!
This Denver suburban restaurant is getting warmed up after the Rapids result tonight: http://www.toastygoodness.com/
Eyeballing things, quite a bit is riding on Sunday's POR-LAG game. The most interesting result might actually be a draw.
This is the weekend each year when my family is flummoxed as to why my general disposition on Sunday mornings has improved until mid-autumn.
With a draw you take 1 PT off the table, and divide the other 2 between 2 teams. That lowers the playoff threshold for those teams still chasing a playoff position.
Crew will hang around for a while in the middle of the table, getting the occasional home win. But we aren't playoff material this season. I know Orlando is trying mightily hard to stay below the line but I'd guess Philly will take the last spot.
Several middling teams in the West (Sea, Por, SJ) winning hammers those at risk in the CD number, which was the more lenient number before the weekend started. Minnesota is clearly out. Pretty sure RSL is, too. The 'Puds and Gals have games in hand, so I'm guessing they have another week to stave off the toaster.
