no need to get snarky....the last few posts had all been about Wotherspoon...then you threw in a reference to a player without naming him
that wasn't snarky. So no need for you to get snippy. I don't know "Wotherspoon" but I listed 6 goals in 6 matches. How many other Canadians are doing that currently in MLS? To be fair I wasn't sure if Wotherspoon was a nickname for him (which is what I thought you meant).
Marcus Haber scored the only goal of the game vs Kilmarnock FC. it was his 9th goal of the season and puts him just outside the top 10 scorers in the Scottish League.
18 year old Ballou Jean-YvesTabla scored his 2nd MLS goal of the season and only goal of the game. http://www.espnfc.us/video/mls-high...-united-0-1-montreal-impact-nick-three-points interesting Canadian prospect, if he continues playing well, maybe a Gold Cup call up is in order.
^probably an interesting future prospect that we can discuss in this thread if he is ever sold to a team that is abroad?
apologies but is there even a thread for Canadian players in the MLS? so is this the thread https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/canadians-in-mls.2029912/ or is there another? As that thread seems about the statistics rather than development.
From a fellow Voyageurs: Some very serious buzz all over Turkish media now about Cyle going to Besiktas. http://www.turkfutbol.com/besiktasin-yeni-hedefi-cyle-larin-6671/
Besiktas is a sorta big club in Turkey right? Like 3rd biggest or so? They have CL so it would be great for him. A few seasons of a decent scoring rate and some big CL performances could have him for a much bigger club in a top 3 league in a few years. Ideal move I'd say. Either mid-table in a top4 league or a big club in a mid-tier league.
Besiktas is a top 2-3 club in Turkey with Galasataray where Drogba used to play. If Larin can start consistently at Besiktas with fellow Canadian and team Captain Drew Hutchinson, he's growth will be phenomenal. That clubs makes the UEFA Champions league regularly
Besiktas has won the last two titles, but were third in the three seasons before that, which didn't qualify them for the Champions League. In the club coefficients for the five seasons ending 2016-2017, Galatasaray is the best Turkish club, Fenerbahce is second, and Besiktas is third.
In 2015 he became the first player to have a season with at least 150 innings, a winning percentage of at least .700, and an ERA of at least 5.50. He's playing for Pittsburgh's AAA team in Indianapolis.

Zambrano said he's spoken to Ballou Tabla. He's laid out case for him playing for #canMNT. Still being courted by Ivory Coast. We'll see.— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) August 29, 2017 Zambrano says he's making strides in getting Ricardo Ferreira & Bryan Cristante to play for #canMNT. Progress made but work still to do.— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) August 29, 2017 Zambrano wants to see Osorio become more physical on both sides of the ball, be a two-way player. Big fan of him, tho. Story later. #TFC— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) August 29, 2017 Talking to Zambrano now. Says Atiba hasn't ruled out playing for #canMNT beyond Jamaica game. Says he's taking it day by day. Story later.— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) August 29, 2017

Millwall defeat shows why Leeds United need MLS star Cyle Larin https://t.co/HjeNa0EGUM via @HITCsport— Canucks Abroad (@Canucks_Abroad) September 20, 2017 Leeds United are currently 1st in the English Championship. If they keep this up and add Larin, we'd have a striker in Premier League next year. Hoping Cardiff City also promotes so Junior Hoilett goes back to Premier League
Unfortunately, that can't happen, since Canada is not in the top 50 soccer nations. It cause a nixing of two possible Jamaican transfers to the EPL earlier this year.
To get a work permit in English football, that "top 50" thing is only relevant as it relates to an automatic permit. Ie....if a player comes from a country ranked 31 - 50 in the world and he has played in 75% of his country's internationals over a two year period he is automatically granted a permit.......lot's of players that do not get automatic permits do get approved through a panel process......here is a pretty cool explanation of the whole thing. https://www.reevaldo.com/story/2016/9/15/football-work-permit-premier-league-fa-foreign-players
