Gotta find the finances to keep the SV Horn dream alive I guess Las primeras palabras de Keisuke Honda como nuevo jugador tuzo! #ElÚnicoEnMi💙 Bienvenido! pic.twitter.com/1VgErPP4fX— Club Pachuca (@Tuzos) July 14, 2017
I am a Chivas fan, but hope he does well at Pachuca. It's a very surprising move considering Pachuca is a team that focuses mostly on home grown players instead of big signings. I hope he manages to acclimate to the league, but seeing how it starts in nine days you should expect a rough transition period.
Has D1 in Mexico ever had any Japanese players? I know D2, has had a few, mostly Japanese-mexicans, some played in copa mx.
Are you ********ing serious about Club WC? If true it would be a better transfer than Major League. Ok I wikipediazed and it's true. The guy is smarter then what I thought.
I'm not sure about the sure starting spot. Considering they are a team going into CWC. Actually I think he prefers a challenge.
"Major" League Soccer is a joke. I understand the disappointment some of you may have since it also happens to Mexicans when players return home
Yes. I'm over it now. Just a dissapointment when I read the news. I thought he had many years left in one of the top leagues.
Keisuke can destroy the league & make a move back to Europe if he performs well enough at the Club World Cup Well take care of him, he is Ronaldinho 2.0 in Mexico now. The Mega-Star and Face of the league.
Nah, that's still Gignac. But Honda can challenge that status quo. Plus he only signed for 1 year, so his European career might not be over yet.
Honda is way more of a household name than Gignac in my view like did the Frenchman ever fill up stadiums in Mexico City or Puebla like Dinho did? No, but Keisuke can since he is way more famous and a Current Japanese National Player unlike Andre Pierre Gignac who hasnt been called up for France's NT in almost a year
Honda was famous among the most "hardcore" fans, the average Mexican fan might recognize his name or saw him playing with Milan, but most don't even know who he is... He won't fill stadiums either. Plus Gignac came in a better moment of his career. Dinho's name could even be recognizable for non football fans. Practically, just a Cristiano or a Messi are in that status of fame.
Even if this lasts only one year, it could be good. Mexico + Japan is a good mix. But... after that? MLS? LAFC?
i didn't know forlan was japanese lol in about few weeks...dudes not in form according to the club so they're doing everything for Honda to acclimatize and get fit to play.
He hasn't played yet and the team have lost their first 3 games of the season and sit second last. They just lost to newly promoted Lobos BUAP on the weekend. Hope Honda plays next game.
