EPB kept them onside on the 2nd goal. I didn't think him or Redding played particularly well at all. I'm sure they'll improve as we go along. For all the talk from posters when the roster was chosen, you'd think it's the exact opposite. Our attack looked much better than our defense. Jones looked great out there.
Lennon both frustrating at times with his decision-making and absolutely vital for that result. That game was played at incredible pace, ton of one-on-one duels, ton of mistakes by both teams. It was the kind of game both teams were built for and want to play. This is a US team that needs to boss duels to have a chance to go deep in this tournament; obviously it couldn't do that today, but Jones in the starting lineup could help. Also if CCV gets healthy.
Yes!! Way to fight back for the tie!!!. Sargent is the real deal, DLT is very technical and he showed some speed which was the question I previously had about. Lennon is a playmaker. I know ppl on here was gonna be slamming on Klinnsman. How he hell can anyone blame him for the first two? Klinnsman also had a GREAT save. He just has to cut out the mental lapses, because that third goal was horrific (although someone put him in that position, by playing it back fast and wildly).
Lennon essentially sucks if he doesn't have all day to send in a delivery or poach a goal. To me, he's better suited to play underneath a CF.
Ecuador committed assault with great bodily harm on our right side. Just about all our problems came from there.
I hope Glad is ready soon, either him or Adams will have to play right back if this team has any pray at a deep run.
Because he's only been this good for like 6 months, and he's also 16. No 16 year old is playing for a big club's first team at 16, and unless he has an EU passport, he couldn't possibly join a "big club" yet.
This is ridiculous. The first goal was a one v one....those are low % for keepers. The second was tough he could have done better with it because he was on the near post but it was a nearly point blank shot. The kid made two top shelf saves before his mistake. If you are going to be fair then you have to mention both of those. Had he not made that mistake we'd be talking about him as one of the US' top performers. Why have a grudge against a player that makes your perspective so skewed that it falls beyond reason?
I thought he got a piece of the ball on the replay too. The Koreans have that replay system going on. Even though I agree that the ref was looking like he was ready to give him a red.
