I think we will win both legs.

Seems like it is on beIN 4 ... is that thing? A 4th channel for beIN?

i'd rather have a draw where we scored at least one, but it's still better than heading home needing to make up ground.

I thought Huddersfield were the better team for large periods of the 1st leg but playing badly getting a result is usually the sign of a good team. Whatever happens I hope the winner of this tie beat Reading in the final. I think you Owls probably have a better chance of getting established in the Premiership if your owner is willing to splash some cash.

I agree with this. whatever happens, I think Reading will struggle to keep Stam over the summer.

I hadn't thought about it until just now, but I really like all three of the remaining playoff managers. Stam, Wagner, and Carlos are all quality.

crap. huddersfield equalize. looked offside to me, but was very close.

also, i was unaware away goals aren't the tiebreaker in these playoffs, so that invalidates my post above about our 0-0 draw away.

in the feed I was watching, there was a comment made that Huddersfield had a budget this year on par with Rov'rum. Can that possibly be true? and if so, massive congrats to Wagner and that squad.

they were better than Wednesday today, and no mistake. I very much like Carlos, but Brighton at Hillsborough excepted, four of his five playoff matches over the last two seasons have been really poor - tactically and aesthetically.

Huddersfield's wage budget might have been similar to ours given the fact that we've been a bit wreckless this season, Alan Stubbs supposedly threw the kitchen sink at signing Dexter Blackstock and now we're stuck with him for another 2 seasons. I'd expect Huddersfield to have a lot more money for signing players compared to us though.

As for the match, you were unlucky with the injury inside 5 minutes but you always seemed like a team weighed down with expectation compared to Huddersfield, unless it was just your managers tactics to be negative. Also, is Fletcher not match fit? I might be wrong but it seemed like he was subbed because your manager was over-confident about defending a 1-0 lead and then when Huddersfield equalised it was like you were never really able to get on the front foot. I remember him at Wolves and he scored against us he's a dangerous striker.

Good luck next season at least you can still enjoy Championship football.

No matter what any of our hot headed knee jerk reactionary fans say, we had a great season.

We have bright future with a pretty decent manager. Hopefully he learns from each loss.

Now on to worrying about our new kits...

to be honest, I've been pleasantly surprised by the positivity coming from the Wednesday fans that I've heard/read. not to say there's been no knee-jerkery, of course; but the general mood seems to be better than I expected.
