U-17s lost 2-1 to Turkey today and crashed out of the tournament. Without Kean the last 2 games they lacked any real spark up front.
Uruguay has a pretty good team. I'll be interested in seeing what Italy does in the other two group games.
The team played poorly in the first half; Uruguay owned them for the first 45 minutes. The second half, however, was the complete opposite. The team came out and bossed the field for the first 20-25 minutes or so, and, then, the Uruguayans, remembered the game has two halves and the game became evenly played.....and, then, they scored Zaccagno, the GK, was the man of the match. Kept Uruguay from scoring at least 2 more goals. The remaining games are against South Africa and Japan. SA has to be a win, and should be able to beat Japan which played very well in its win against South Africa. Worst case scenario, a win and a tie should see them through; wow, that statement sounds awfully familiar.
No, but now that you mention it, the guys had shirts with very high collars. I guess they didn't wanted another biting incident. Uruguay showed its true colors, anyway. An incissive attack but not much bite
I don't think the refs are allowed to show red cards. After all, they are playing in South Korea and not the chunky boy's North.
It's tomorrow against South Africa. Don't know where you're located but in the U.S. it will be shown on either Fox Sports 1 or 2 and VERY early in the morning. Hope the lads make the early wake up call worth it................
