Request to combine the three threads (Taitague, McKennie, Wright)? They play on the same team right now. Most of the info about them is all going to be the same. Schalke won 2-0 today. None of the Americans scored. Reading the translation of the match tracker, I'm pretty sure Haji had some involvement in the first goal, whether it was an assist, a shot that hit the post and lead to a tap in, a shot by him parried to one of his teammates. It seems like the second goal came off a corner, but from what I have read, it seems like a German guy took the corner and another German guy headed the ball in, so I'd guess no assists for Americans on that goal.
I respectfully disagree with this request. I think they all deserve their own thread. We can have a separate thread in USA Men called "Schalkamerica".

Energetic in his chasing, playing LW, caught a guy from behind and won the ball, dribbled a bit and tried to nutmeg a defender and lost it.
Didn't have much time. Maybe like 7 or 8 minutes. Didn't help that two fans ran onto the fan, and the referee added no time. The fans staggered their entrances to the field. One guy ran on, kneeled at midfield, and ran away. Once he was arrested, another one ran on, and got arrested. Nick only touched the ball a few times. He stole it once, and lost it twice.
Is anyone else surprised to have not seen/heard more from this kid by now? Seems to be getting completely overshadowed by Weston.
No. He was only able to join Schalke very recently and he's younger than his American compatriots at the club.
He's a year younger than the other two, and JMO, but he's the least talented of the three. He's a good player, I think he has a good chance to make it at Schalke, but given his age in proximity to the other two and no clear talent advantage over the other two older players, its not uncommon that he's getting less attention.
Of the three, he's the one I've actually seen the least of in actual play. But I was pretty impressed with him making that Guardian - Next Generation list. Also seemed like Schalke itself was hyping him pretty aggressively on twitter. I'm not trying to say I'm disappointing or anything - I just thought after a month in a half we would have seen more clips or read more accolades.
I wouldn't take much from the fact that we're not hearing as much about him compared to McKennie and Wright. McKennie is the captain of the U19's and started the game with the first team recently, while some consider Wright the club's best prospect. Taitague has only been with the club for a couple months and was one of a handful of youth players brought in with the first team recently. They clearly think of him as a promising prospect, which is all that really matters.
Schalke U-19 won 3-1. All three Americans started. Wright scored the last goal, and played 90. Taitague played 53. McKennie played 90, and from what I have found, he may have had the assist on the first goal.
He has muscle problems. http://knappenschmiede.schalke04.de/de/aktuell/170420_u19_vor_rwe/page/2799--6-6-.html
At least he doesn't have the dreaded horse-kiss.... A question mark also stands behind the use of Moody Chana (horse-kiss)
