Bastia's violent fans have had enough chances. It's time for tough action https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/17/bastia-violent-fans-lyon-action-ligue-1
Shame on those Bastia fans who invaded the pitch and attacked Lyon players, they are damaging and bringing down the image and reputation of Ligue 1. Bastia are going down to Ligue 2 next season anyway but I sincerely wish they get severely hefty punishments on this.
One of the better game of the season and a very intense game for the clash of 2nd ranked and 3rd ranked team between Paris SG and Nice yesterday which saw the dismissed of Thiago Motta and Angel Di Maria of PSG in the closing stage of the game, Nice only created 3 shots attempt on target in the entire game but able to convert all into goals! Not to mention a very good atmosphere and home crowd support as well in the Allianz Riviera stadium. Final scoreline Nice 3-1 Paris SG. Paris SG may have very well already lost their defending title in this match. Standing AS Monaco - 83 points (34 matches played) Paris SG - 80 points (35 matches played) OGC Nice - 77 points (35 matches played)
Vincent Koziello (28 October 1995) is a French footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for OGC Nice in Ligue 1.[1] Koziello is a youth exponent from OGC Nice. He made his Ligue 1 debut on 1 November 2014 against Olympique Lyonnais, replacing Grégoire Puel after 72 minutes in a 1–3 home defeat.[2]
http://www.sport.fr/football/ligue-...e-avec-le-barca-pour-riyad-mahrez-413931.shtm Not sure he would choose OM especially after they snubbed him under the last regime and they dont have Champions League football to offer but the fact they are in on him is a good sign.
I HIGHLY doubt Riyad goes to OM. Realistically he'll probably go to a bigger club whether it's in the Prem or La Liga.
http://www.mercato365.com/l1-lyon-laurent-blanc-prendre-suite-de-bruno-genesio-a-lol-3921157.html Haha I knew this was coming. He should just take the job. I dont know what big foreign club he thinks is interested.
Well, I kinda hope that both of the Nancy and Caen will be able to avoid being relegated and stay in the Ligue 1 next season as both of these two teams have good fans support and attendances record. - Nancy average home attendances per game = 17,542 (10th best in league) - Caen average home attendances per game = 16,784 (12th best in the league)
France has a number of clubs who play in smaller stadiums and get good support. Nancy, Caen, Guingamp, Lorient, Bastia, among others.
Well it all comes down to tomorrows match for Nancy. They have Dijon who is one point ahead of them and sitting in the relegation playoff spot. I'd like to see Nancy stay up as well. They have a chance tomorrow.
Aulas interviewed by BeinSports today. Promises 2 or 3 BIG reinforcements. http://www.beinsports.com/france/ligue-1/video/aulas-une-remise-en-cause-extremement-profond/539195
Yup not hating on PSG but it will be good for the league (more competition), nevertheless it is already safe to say that Monaco will be this year season wonder and to break and end the PSG dream title run for the fifth years in a row. Therefore, unlike other competition this season whereby Benfica successfully clinched fourth straight Primeria Liga title in a row, Bayern Munich dominate the Bundesliga title by fifth straight year in a row and Juventus will be ready also to clinch Serie A title for the sixth year running, PSG title winning streak will be ended at fourth this year.
Emery: 'Competition is good' Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery believes increased competition in Ligue 1 is good for French football — even if it means his club misses out on the title this season. Paris Saint-Germain no longer have the fate of their title defence in their own hands with AS Monaco essentially requiring just three points from their remaining three games to claim the crown that has gone to the capital in each of the last four seasons. In addition to that, OGC Nice could have deprived PSG of second place — and automatic qualification for the UEFA Champions League group stage — right up until Week 36. With Olymique de Marseille under ambitious new ownership, and LOSC Lille attempting to recover the lustre they had when they won the double in 2010-11, Emery believes the coming Ligue 1 campaign will be even more hotly contested. "The competition in Ligue 1 is very positive for the development of French football," said the PSG boss. "I think in addition to Nice and Monaco, there are clubs like Marseille and Lille, with the arrival of Bielsa, are going to make the competition more intense next season. It will help us grow, especially on the European stage." PSG can still win the title, but they require maximum points from their remaining fixtures while also hoping Monaco slip up given the champions are three points behind and have a far inferior goal difference. http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/article/emery-competition-is-good.htm
I'm REALLY anxious to see what Bielsa will do with Lille this summer. OM and OL will be the same.. Nice will probably get plucked apart.
Not expecting much from Lille. Gerard Lopez doesnt have McCourt's fortune and I read hes heavily reliant on money from other investors. I thought the new Chinese/American owners at Nice had money to spend especially since they havent spent much of it yet. They lose Balotelli (no huge loss since hes been very inconsistent.) Paul Baysee already announced hes leaving the club. Ricardo Perreria, too expensive to purchase. I believe they will sign Belhanda. Dynamo Kiev will have to lower the price since he doesnt want to return there. Kozello can be inserted into the 1st team next year. OM will be so much better but they need to sign lots of positions.
Obviously the main difference is Bayren and Juve pilllage their respective leagues while Paris prefers to go outside their league for players. Im very interested to see if they change their strategy and pillage Ligue 1 but I doubt it. If youre Paris do you really want Lacazette for example and think hes just as good as Higuain? Juve needed a top tier striker and they stayed in Italy. Signing Lacazette would be an equivalant to that. Bayren did the same when they got Lewandowski. If Im Paris I dont want Lacazette, hes not as good as those other 2.
@Catracho_Azul, @SportBoy333 I think I am more interested on the true story of Marcelo Bielsa last coaching tenure with Lazio back in July 2016. Does anyone know that why did he resign as Lazio manager after just two days in the job ?
German press is reporting that Favre will be the new coach of Dortmund. Another German media outlet is saying he will coach Monaco if Jardim leaves. Crazy crazy crazy.
