We should play safely, while having an eye for the win.

While Isco might not be the best option if we're looking for counter attacks (we don't have the best personnel for that anyway unlike the past few years), he can help us boss the midfield and control the match, they seem to get really uncomfortable when they don't have the ball, if the 2nd half in the 1st leg is anything to go by.

And no yellow for Ramos (or he'll miss the 1st leg of SF).

No, yellows get wiped after this this tie. If he gets a red then he misses the next game but not a yellow. He is safe and can play his normal game against Lewa and co

I hope Isco takes this opportunity to open up the debate of us being better off with an extra midfielder. He tends to step up in the big European games, Liverpool, Dortmund, City to name a few. Let's hope he adds Bayern to that list. Along with Casemiro i think he'll have the most important role in the game. He will have to roam around the field, get into those pockets of space in the middle all while assisting Ronaldo and Benz in attack.

If Alaba starts as a CB then not having a RW might actually pay off

I don't know why but I am shitting myself. I think I would've been more confident if we'd gotten a draw for some reason lol. History is on our side and also under ZZ we have only lost twice at home, once last season when we played without a DM, and once this season when we were experimenting with a 352

The YCs do get wiped (so that nobody would miss the final due to YC accumulation) but not a suspension that's already issued.

Marca (today): "The threat of suspension still lingers over both Ramos in the Champions League and Nacho in LaLiga, where they are one booking away from a suspension"

To be quite honest, I think this is the easiest decision Zidane would have to make... Bale being out (and not contributing much recently), ISCO MUST START.

A midfield of 4 in a diamond shape would boss them around the midfield and keep the ball away from them. That's honestly our #1 priority. We cannot let them take much of the possession as they will be looking to go hard on the attack from the 1st minute and have their "early" goal. This can't be allowed. Simple as that.

This is the line-up we should start with and I would be quite confident that we would win 2-0 or 3-1.

    -----------Cristiano----------Benzema---------------
    ---------------------Isco Disco--------------------------
    ----------Kroos-----------------------Modric-----------
    ---------------------CASEMIRO------------------------
    Marcelo-------Ramos----Nacho------------Carvajal
    -------------------------Navas-----------------------------

    HASTA EL FINAL, VAMOS REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bernabeu is going to be rocking for this one. Hopefully we create a small earthquake. Make Munich tremble.

Don't think the diamond shape will do tomorrow. We need a 4-4-2 to protect the wings, where Bayern does lots of damage with Robben and Ribery.

Bale did partner up with Carvajal quite good in defensive duties last week.

I'm expecting amazing atmosphere tomorrow on SB. Just watching this video again gives me goosebumps!

That's my biggest concern. Bale was really bad while atacking in Munich, but he did a lot of dirty work in defence. I hope Isco, who was just magical against Sporting, can produce another isco Disco show.

I believe it's our best line-up. Have you seen Robben and Ribery recently? Casemiro is our monster covering at the back, plus, with the motivation Isco has now, he would be running around the mid and pressure along with Kroos & Modric.

No doubt in my mind that we would dominate with that mid of 4. Isco, Kroos, Modric, Casemiro.

I think this match will be more difficult than the first one.bayern will have a nothing to lose attitude and the tie is ourselves to lose.though back ourselves to go through but the way we start a match is problematic i mean we never comes flying out of the door.
if isco performs in this match then he deserves the starting spot.though i highly doubt he is a championsleague material and only good for laliga bus parking opponent.so zidane is somewhat right to not play him at all in CL.But the kind of form he is in is too much to ignore.
just hope the match doesn't turn out like schalke 3-4 match but a high scoring match is certain

Sub. Just qualify, don't care about what the result is.

Bayern will come to try and score two goals. Even if they concede a goal it will make little difference to them. We need to be rock solid at the back, and that's one thing we haven't looked like for a while.

Personally, for this reason alone I would sit Isco on the bench. He had a tremendous ATTACKING performance on our last match. Whilst he does a lot of defensive running, he roams across the pitch when we have possession and that leaves the wing free on a counter. I want Casemiro in the middle helping cover Lewandowski and cut Robbens inside run instead of going directly to a flank on a counterattack. The two side midfielders are key in cutting the threat from the wings.

I would start a midfielder who does less with the ball (Kroos Modric Casemiro would be my trio if they are all available) and take out one or two for Isco and/or Kovacic if we are behind.

Bale is out though, so it's either Isco, James, Lucas, or if we're looking at extreme solutions, Morata who will start along with the standard midfield trio of Modric, Kroos and Casemiro.

Yes, I guess ZZ will go with Isco (Lucas being the 2nd choice, he obviously likes the way he partners with Dani).

100% I'd start Isco. Lucas may run a lot and cover defensively on the wings, but I'd rather start Isco, control the midfield, and hold the ball. Lucas gives you cover on the wing, but he doesn't do much with the ball aside from run wide. I don't think we should sit back and play for counters. Take the game to them and try to score as much as possible; their defense is fragile.

Quite easy decision for Zizou. Isco on. Key will be not to concede early goal imo. Cause if Real capable to win in Miunchen, Bayern also can do same 2-1 in Bernabeu/.

Personally, I would prefer this too.

I completely forgot about Asensio, after all, he was his choice to sub Bale in the first leg.

It will be interesting to see, if Isco is the one we pick, how Zizou will decide to use him.

He was clearly on fire at the weekend because he was given free reign and primarily played centrally between each corner of the box.

I could see him having trouble if we force him to play top right in Bale's role. It has to be a diamond formation with Isco playing attacking mid, but he's also going to have to commit to dropping big time defensively.

The downside if he plays centrally is that we will probably lose some width. Dani and Marcelo could end up pushing up really high to take the space, which could leave us vulnerable at the back.

I would play Lucas for the same reasons. Say we start all our offensive options and then go down a goal or two and its sub time. What do we do?
