I'd say not playing at your club isn't but didn't seem to hurt villafana... or Wood.

That's a fact? Who thinks that?

I think you nailed the assessment as far as players we were excited about, but I think Hyndman really does compare better to the higher tier here.

Convey was amazing before injuries in the Championship at a young age. He's more of a what could have been then a never was.

Szetela, Arguez, Jeffreay, Adu, and Lletget were all at Euro clubs but didn't really receive playing time.

    Then you have the MLSers.

Which leaves us Feilhaber and Bradley. Which is kind of where I see Hyndman ending up between. Fulham was giving him first team time last year and he's played really well in the Scottish League on loan. Yes, the level is less than stellar. BUT it still shows that Hyndman can make the jump and play against grown men. I mean if you had to set an over under for him on caps what would it be?

Would you take the under or the over for 35 caps for Hyndman? If you take the over then you obviously rate him.

Emo with a nice assist on second goal. 2 - 0 Rangers.

edit: apparently helped set up the first as well (hockey assist) Emo to Tav, Tav to Miller. I am doing my best with an atrocious stream and twitter feeds

2 - 0 FT. I gave up on the stream.

Team win. Hyndman involved in both goals and sick footwork for the first assist.

Most comments I see are happy Pedro has found a way to have Gers play as a team. Hyndman solid but not spectacular save on the goals.

I'd love to hear comments from someone who actually watched the full match.

Hyndman was pretty good, I thought. Gers played well but Partick was pretty meh. They are just thrilled to have made top 6.

Next week is the test. But PC does not look completely flumoxed yet.

Convey had a very good u20 WC and I was very high on him. As time passed, I came to the opinion I missed that he was naive tactically and just went forward without varying his attack. It's too bad about his injuries and he had to waste an extra year in MLS.

I think Feilhaber is the best fit in terms of style of play, but still differences. I expect Hyndman to be a better player... mostly due to his mentality. Hyndman is very mature and focused. Hyndman and Bradley are very different players, but wouldn't be surprised if his club career matches or surpasses Bradleys. My best case for him is to be a Reyna who is better in the attacking third. As far as the national team goes, I think he easily gets to 35 caps and the only thing that keeps him being a 100ish cap player is our development improving and kids coming up after him push him aside.

I haven't been a fan of him of him being at Fulham and now Rangers as it isn't a good fit for him. I do think it has helped toughen him and have some instincts to play more directly. He does need to build off this loan and gets minutes at a higher level next year, whether at Bournemouthe or somewhere else.

A blue blur that announcers said was Hyndman is all over these horrible quality highlights. Nice footwork on second goal and looks like he almost had another one or two.

Based on the highlights, if he wasn't giving the ball away in bad areas the rest of the time, he must have had a pretty nice game. Seemed right there for all things positive.

Sidenote: if Waghorn weren't pitiful, he'd have 15 goals this year.

I've seen a number of comments about players like Hyndman who at big clubs/top 4 leagues are stagnating because they aren't breaking through and on loan at much lower levels.

I pulled a post from USA Men that was an assessment of EH at u20 WC almost two years ago. I thought it clearly pointed out his strengths and things he needed to improve to make it at a higher level. I've then included all touch videos of game a year ago at Fulham and the rangers v motherwell a couple of months ago. I see a stronger, more confident player who is covering more ground, making quicker and better decisions, playing quality final balls, and striking/placing the ball better on goal.

I'm well aware that the quality of the SPL isn't that great but it is still physical and he rarely has a ton of time on the ball. He looks to have improved quite a bit in those 9-10 months.

Extended highlights! He looked decent. Good movement, but didn't get the ball or was misplayed by teammate. A number of nice passes in the second half. The least flashy play that I liked was at 1:50 they had a free kick around the box that turned into a counter... EH tracked back showing decent pace from the edge of the box to well into his own half, cut off pass, chested it down and held off defender.

He had a very decent/good game. His contribution on the goals and a couple of good attempts was pretty high-class. Only mitigating factor was Partick looked particularly mediocre.

Just got finished watching... and.... my man crush on Emo continues. I thought he was exceptional in this game. Yes, Patrick Thistle was not good, but you play whoever is your opponent. I've been critical of him when he hasn't been as good the past few weeks, but this game he returned to his Jan/Feb form.

    - was all over the place as usual, box to box type but not needed in the back as much as Toral and Holt (Holt especially) were dominant. Emo moved front to back and side to side, and tons of secondary runs, opening up space and following up shots. Hands down the most active on both teams.

    - Played mostly CAM and just bossed it, IMO. Perfect touches, so calm, and always always always looking to push it forward...dare I say...'proactively". Cut the ball inside looking to play 1-2's and always having an eye on pushing it out wide.

    - ok, the assist was some suuuweeeet tight footwork, love that quick tick-tock move and then silky layoff to Toral. Had to make him proud that Toral game him all the props, the point, the "it was all him" move to the crowd... so awesome.

next 2 weeks are vs Celtic (Scottish Cup semi, and the league match). Such a pleasure to watch this kid right now, this is as good of a loan as I can recall from any player at anytime.

In my boxers! (for $7.59 US you can watch on Ranger TV - you have to register at Ranger's website and pay the man. I think it's blocked in UK.)

Why you hating on Charleston like that!

BTW, nice to see EH so happy for Toral to score. Seemed genuinely stoked.

Yeah! Why you hatin' on my hometown?

Emo's move in the box looked crazy-slick. He also set up some other beautiful chances, which his teammates ever-so-politely presented to the goalkeeper.
