I can't tell if you are merely trolling, or mentally ill.

Of course, Greek anarchists seem to have attempted more bombings in Europe than Isis in the past 6 months or so... But maybe Greek Anarchists are inspired by political Islam.

Guess you missed the Greek Anarchists mass mailing as well.

It may well be Islamists. It may well be the son-of-the-unibomber, but from Basques to Irish to Greeks to Islamists, there's a wide net of folks who have tried, and continue to try, to blow people and things up in Europe.

Jesus guys, a bomb went off with our star player and you all are getting into a flame war?

I really hope CP isnt tooo mentally affected by this. If he is, however, I would understand.

How can an 18 American star not feel targeted by this? Remember that Howard was targed by al queda.

Not sure if you would like to do the honors, but I think it would be worth starting a new game thread.

Regardless, everyone should take note of a new, earlier game time - 12:45 PM Eastern - accommodating the 2:45 PM start of the other pair of CL games today.

Lets ignore ( excuse ) any " amateur" acts of terrorism, because ??
DUESSELDORF, Germany, April 12 (Reuters) - A man of Islamist background has been detained by German investigators probing blasts against a bus carrying players of Borussia Dortmund soccer club, the federal public prosecutor's office said on Wednesday.

You seem to be implying that Islamists pose no greater terror threat than all the other groups and that the disproportionate attention is due to prejudice. You may want to rethink that. You sound like an Islamist apologist.

No one's making an "excuse" for a violent act against innocent people. I am only stating that this was NOT the work of terrorist's top management.

Two points: the German police described the devices as "sophisticated", and I read somewhere that the bus bad bulletproof windows. If that's the case then the device could well have been sophisticated but not powerful enough to do serious damage if the bomb maker expected a softer target. I also saw where one of the bombs contained nails, which is more indicative of an anti-personnel device and the attackers may have intended to use it to target either players getting off the bus or first responders. Either way the planning (aside from not anticipating a harder target) sounds a lot more sophisticated than the execution, wouldn't surprise me if someone involved in this had experience fighting in Syria, Iraq, or Afghanistan.

You called it fear mongering to suggest this was a violent act, which is different from what you suggest about top management--a point no one made to begin with.

She said three copies of the same letter were found near the site of the blasts, indicating that the attacker had links to so-called Islamic State (IS). IS had said it carried out the attack on a Christmas market in Berlin in December that killed 12 people.

Sorry mate but you don't get to put words in my mouth nor do you get to conflate my words to your illogical end.

I called it "fear-mongering" NOT to suggest this wasn't a violent act, but to caution about the "Chicken Little" effect of run-away speculation and irresponsible analysis.

On the bench. Reus still not on bench so first option off the bench for Pulisic?

You seem to have difficulty with reading comprehension. You sound like you are rational-thinking challenged. The disproportionate attention is due to a number of issues, some of them prejudice. Some of them sensationalism. Some of them rational.

You are aware, I hope, of the multiple bombs sent by Greek Anarchists in recent months?

Of the bomb set by alleged fascists in Italy recently?

There is no doubt that Islamic extremists (and "lone wolves") threaten Europe with terror. But at the same time, others are as well. It is naive to ignore the others. More Dutch citizens were killed by a single Russian BUK in an act of terror than have been killed by Isis in the Netherlands.

    That's just a fact.

Also, you say "Basques" not ETA, "Irish" not IRA and "Greeks" not Greek anarchists. You get Islam right. You say "Islamists" not muslims. In your post you attempt to enlighten us about prejudicial thinking but at the same time you expose your own.
