A more skilled gattuso. Shock horror Verratti plays more direct to when asked to within the tactics. He has the brain to play which ever way he is asked.
Gattuso was definitely an expert at the 5ft. pass. Since he could barely hit them longer and on target, he'd win the ball and Pirlo would run over to him to retrieve it. Tell me what is so special about Verratti. I have yet to see it. With his skills, we should see much more. We don't. He is a good holding midfielder. That is it. If he plays, fine. If he does not play, that is fine too. Italia is not dependent upon him, so let's end this silly debate. My evaluation has been spot on.
When Florenzi comes back who should we start though? I have been overall impressed with both. What do you think? Who is the better player?
I don't know what is going to happen with his career now, him and Darmin had much potential 2 years ago, now their spots are up in the air. Barzagli should retire, looked pretty slow.
The issue with Barzagli is whether Ventura has any plans to bring him to Russia. If he is using him only for qualifiers, then it is a waste for both Barzagli (who did retire and then was asked back) and potential replacements. Good to see that Ventura has allowed him to skip the friendly. Conte was notorious to sticking with regulars for such meaningless games.
I'm impressed on paper but the front 3-4 still haven't quite delivered as a unit. Should've put Albania to the sword. Is two No9s really going to work when neither are that great technically? Are we still stuck playing counter-attack when we come up against Germany (or France)? That's why I wanted to see it tweaked with Insigne/Sansone-Berna-Candreva/Berardi behind one striker, and find out whether we can really dominate a game.
Right Now they did, but this is definitely not their best. They are still learning. I meant in the future like a couple years from now.
I doubt any of them are going to reach those levels. Maybe Rugani and Bellotti the other im not to sure about.
Because one player = league position. If it were that easy you guys should have been first every year due to that immorta,l that no big team ever wanted, Hamsik, no?
Your right probably not exactly those levels, however it will be close, maybe just a little step under.
Things change. Spain was never that until the last golden era they had. And even then, in their WC win, I believe they scored less goals than Italy did on route to their WC (Talking about Italy's 06 team).
There's a player in Roma's youth system who is like 11 or 12 who many are saying is better than Messi at the same age. Name is Pietro Tomaselli. Routinely dribbles through like 6-7 players in his age group and makes them look silly. Great finishing for his age too.
Well Spain did score a lot of goals in the group stage of 2006. I think Spain was always a high scoring team when it came to small teams.
None of these players will be the next anything. They will be good players but to say player x will be the next Pirlo and player y will be the Totti is short sighted and retarded. If you can go in the archive of this board you'll posters saying thing like: Nocerino is the next Gattuso Santon is the next Maldini Giovinco is the next Baggio Aquafresca is the next Vieri etc etc etc
LOL and I have never even heard of Nocerino and Aquafresca. I did hear about Giovinco being the next Del Piero by a number of people, but he never was. Same with Cassano being next Baggio but he never was.
