I feel you bro. But what CB should we use instead? We don't have any CBs who are significantly better than HJH...

Maybe Jung Seung Hyun or Choi Kyu Baek? (I didn't really watch Koreans play since 2016 Olympics, so excuse my ignorance if they are in bad form right now)

    neither are national team level

lee jaesung should be in the national team right now over these bench warming merchants

kim kwangseok has been consistently performing for awhile now but hes 34 years old so theres no way senilike would select him. also i wonder if he is physically big/strong enough for the international level. lee kwangseon wasnt bad for jeju last year but its only one season and like most other central defenders from kleague im not certain if he will be an upgrade over the current core. gangwon's kang jiyong performed well for bucheon and is now playing for gangwon in the first division so maybe he should be monitored closely

kim minjae has national team potential but i doubt he will have reached it before the next summer. maybe if korea gets knocked out of the qualifiers and it goes on full rebuild mode he can be fast tracked. i really wish he could have made olympic squad so he could have gained that all important exposure to international soccer

there is a player named park jeongsu in yokohama and he looked a bit interesting. he was a starter briefly in the second half of the season (won the spot after he was given a chance due to injury) but the teams made a coaching change in the offseason so he may need to prove himself again. song juhun started two matches this season. i did not see the matches no idea how he played maybe this could be his breakout season i wouldnt bet on it though

Pretty sure Uli the Creative will stick to his 4-2-3-1.

I want the team to look like this:

    JDW
    HHC---KJC---NTH
    JWY---KBK
    KJS---KKH---HJH---LY
    KSG

Nothing wrong about 4-2-3-1. But doesn't matter if there's no tactic.

Looks like this match has become the one that you CANT lose no matter what due to recent political conflicts.

How low we've stooped even considering a loss as a possible result against CHINA. I thought there would only improvement after the 2012 olympics but the KNT experience has been so lukewarm since.

Everything needs to change. Without this change it's no point in supporting Korean football. They don't deserve our loyalty. It's like being in a shitty relationship. It's better to support a different team.

i refuse to hiddink isnt available because of some stupid legacy reason. he very clearly wanted to manage korea in 2006. that was no lip service. even if it was, we gave him love and support for the last 15 years so he can one day warm up to throwing himself into fire and saving our sorry ass

getting teams like korea out of the dumpster is one of hiddinks favourite fetishes. the job thats required for korea to make the world cup (and field a semi competent team) is right in his alley. time for jung mongkyu to realize the mess hes in, bust his ass, and get that shit done. get jung mongjun on the phone first thing in the morning. use park jisung, cha duri, and whatever means to bring him in. no one else will even consider agreeing to a year long contract

paul le guen and eric gerets are also available (but again contract years is a problem). remember the three/four checklist: 1. extended success in europe 2. winning career 3. familiarity with football in asia 4. available right now

it would be awesome if kfa can get in touch with someone like michel preud'homme instead (coaching in club brugge right now with season ending in few weeks) but that would be way too much work. just realizing that they can email his agent would blow kfa's mind away

Hiddink knew that 2002 was just the beginning and that there was more to work on and fix, yet the idiocy of the KFA lead them to believe that we were a world class team after our 4th place finish. Hiddink was waiting for a contract extension once we've reached the quarter-finals, but the KFA didn't deliver and Lee Yong-soo received an earful from Hiddink for the incompetency.

i tried putting together a 23+ player squad for june (assuming senilikes termination) and found it difficult to complete the team without forcing in some questionable players. what the senile man has done to koreas player pool should be a crime. i suggest everyone try creating a squad of their own just as an exercise to see how challenging this process has become

gk: kim seungkyu, kwon suntae, kim jinhyun
fb: kim jinsu, jung woon, lee yong, cha duri
cb: hong jungho, jang hyunsoo, lee jaesung, kim juyoung
cm: ki sungyong, han kookyoung, lee myungju, ju sejong
2a: ku jachul, son heungmin, nam taehee, hwang heechan, lee jaesung, kim bokyung
cf: kim shinwook, jung jogook, suk hyunjun

i assumed the playing trend for each player would continue at their respective clubs. for example, lee chungyong and kwon changhoon would be difficult call ups to make should their benchwarming continue. if the team is lacking in width perhaps you can add yeom kihun and subtract suk hyunjun depending on his form. cha duri in there because there isnt a kleague rightback who is better

you can't blame this all on Uli Stielike. previous cycle (especially under CKH) did far more damage. also, you have to look at KFA/Kleague.. who are just & if not more responsible + guilty for lack of talent. again, personal opinion and majority of you will disagree but too many are basically same type of players in Kleague (including KNT youth teams) nor are KFA + Kleague they developing talent to KNT adequately.

edit - the current cycle .. and more or less the past 7-9 yrs, team is dependent on talent based on CKR & HMB squads. still think CKR + HMB would have been excellent tandem for Korea... too bad KFA decided to F it up.
