It is always a case of Ki SY + 1. From the limited exposure LMJ had with KNT, I can't remember one game where he looked good paired with Ki SY. Don't have a clue as to how he has played or developed in ME but I doubt he can play as lone DM or the one responsible to stay back & protect the defense.

And thus, back to my original point... is he better option over Kimbo, Koo JC and etc in that box to box/tweener mid role? He is a decent player but I question his compatibility with other players/mids in the team nor is he an upgrade over other players in his "natural" position.

LJS, LCY, KJC, SHM, NTH, KCH, HHC ecc...all regularly, more ore less, selected attacking midfielders (i put in the "attacking midfielder list" as i think SHITLIKE sees HHC as a winger, not as a FW)...def. not easy for LSG to get called up.

lee myungju has played less than 40 minutes with ki sungyong. someone here needs to stop pushing his dumbass agenda. lee myungju deserves a call and has been deserving a call since his rookie season

we know it takes most players time to adjust being integrated into a new squad. but national pool players get hardly a legitimate chance before fans have to accept the manager's decision to retain or drop the player.

you should recheck your data. he played more than 40 mins with Ki SY. he has at least 4 caps playing w/ Ki SY. also, you are talking about a player with at least 14 caps. not like he never had any chance since his "rookie" season or whatever. in the games he looked good, it was with Ha DS in EAFF... afterwards, not much really.. especially in the Jan camp with only K league players in South American/US for Brazil prep.

ahn hyunbum and lee changmin havent done enough in my opinion. ahn hyunbum is kind of a fringe wing forward/attacking midfielder who gets bounced all around the field without a clear cut role. he has the odd explosiveness but he cant make plays, he doesnt really beat defenders, and he cant cross. hes what son heungmin was at leverkusen (without the goal scoring) except hes not playing in germany. lee changmin is another player who does a lot of things at an acceptable level but nothing he does ever appear special. he can play in the centre so theres that i guess? the way our national team looks now there are room for some average or even mediocre players to get in there but how many? btw i would take kim minhyuk of gwangju over the previously mentioned players. hugely underrated attacking midfielder. and of course none of these three are better than the likes of lee seunggi, kim bokyung, lee myungju, etc who should already be in the squad given that they are in top form

park chuyoung doesnt play cf anymore. you play him at second striker you are asking the likes of koo jachul and son heungmin to cover for his lack of mobility which im sure nobody wants. you can bring him along the squad to play him as a joker but im not certain what he will be able to offer the likes of hwang heechan, lee jaesung, etc couldnt especially since he has been struggling to get shots on target as of late

To be a devil's advocate in regards to Lee Jeong Hyeop:

LJH, however unimpressive usually for club and country, managed to score crucial goals just when KNT needed them.

Examples: vs. Australia group stage (AFC Asian Cup 2015), vs. Iraq semifinal (AC 2015), vs. Lebanon (WCQ 2nd round)

I know you enjoy being facetious, but to make a serious reply: that's a not a good argument. We don't know how other strikers would have fared in those moments...

I've been harping his name even before his ACL performances vs Jeonbuk, in fact he was on a roll for Al Ain despite suffering brief injuries early on the season. However, he's played more than 40 minutes with Ki Sung-yong in both the Venezuela and Uruguay matches back in 2014.

lol so he played 60 minutes and 73 minutes with ki sungyong 2.5 years ago and he impressed&scored a goal in one of them. point remains this measurement is completely irrelevant in a discussion about whether or not lee myungju deserves a call right now. if anyything this reveals the garbage minutes lee myungju has been forced into playing whenever his place in the national team was getting assessed. less than 1.5 matches played with the best national team performer in the last 3 years? im sure the likes of han kookyoung and jung wooyoung would have done much better

You said less than 40 minutes and I corrected that small error, that is all. The fcuk do you think I'm dragging this on when I'm practically in agreement with your point?

EDIT: Excuse my foul language, thanks.

Lee MJ is decent player, I don't doubt his ability but he doesn't offer anything new to the team nor is he an upgrade over current options (Koo, Kimbo, Kwon CH..). He doesn't play the same role as Han KY or Jung WY... I don't see the point of comparing his role w/ them. While he scored, he wasn't great in the Venezuela game... nor vs Uruguay or against Kuwait (Asian Cup 2015). He played a bit with Ki vs Paraguay but that isn't even worth talking about I guess. As for his other performance without Ki.. again, not much to speak of except with Ha DS. When he was partnered with players like Park JW or Han KY... the midfield pairing were awful as the pair struggled to move the ball forward (none of them have the ability to distribute well or link defense to attack quickly w/ long range passes).

If the whole argument is if he deserves a call over the likes of Koh MJ or whatever, I will agree. Did he deserve more than few or limited exposure he had so far? Again.. perhaps, I will agree without knowing a thing about his performance in ME. At the same time, for this current roster... it has too many central players in midfield. The roster isn't balanced.. at least imo. If Koh MJ or whomever should be replaced, it should be for a player with some pace in the wings (Son.. who can't play vs China & Kim JS as FB is about all the pace this current roster possess).

And if Uli should call up more fringe central players, I prefer he invest in young player like Han CH instead. Give him national team exposure as it will help his chance of moving to Europe.

I understand that your views on certain players isn't the same as opposed to the masses or the few herds (Agree to disagree.), but I'm sick and tired of Stielike for being such a pussified manager that he's not willing to be bold enough to try other formations, tactics, players etc. nor is he willing to think broad, heck he doesn't even have any of the qualities to do any of this is the problem.

I'm not trying to argue on whether Lee Myung-joo is better than 'X' player(s), rather that I'm more at the notion that Lee Myung-joo should be given the opportunity to be tested out even if it means it will result in a fail, because testing/experimenting always comes with a cost of a hit or a miss, but that's how you're going to find out what's good and what's bad, or what's right from wrong, what fits best. Unfortunately, Stielike is too senile to see that case in point.

Also, a minor error, Lee Myung-joo didn't play at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, in fact he hasn't been with the KNT since his last two games against Venezuela and Uruguay back in 2014.

He made the 2015 Asian Cup roster and his last cap w/ KNT was vs Kuwait.

As if this is even anything worth putting as "news". If Stielike does indeed ride out his contract of 4 years, then it will be a wasted 4 years, it will mean jack shit that he's the longest serving KNT manager.

It's gonna get worse from here on out. Nobody believed when I called for the KFA to ban the garbage leagues. Of course, I was right all along.

Some people here told me I was exaggerating. What do I gain from exaggerating bullsh!t to the team I love. Absolutely nothing. Sacking Stielike should be our first priority, unless you prefer the likes of Oh Jae Suck and Hong "revolving door" Jeong Ho...
