Some odd talk between a radio show and official account of Eerste Divise side, Telstar FC, about there being no truth to rumors of de la Torre joining on loan. A former player loosely connected to club named Frans van Essen said on the air the day before the two clubs were in talks. Possible that the club inquired but, going on Jokanovic's policy that youth players should stay and fight for spots, not go on loan, the supposed "talks" went no further.

The PL2 league consists of teams who have been successful in being awarded Grade A status as a youth academy, which requires investment in players (and a significant investment!), including ensuring education needs being met.
There are other u23 leagues for non-Grade A status Academies. Grade A status is awarded for a 3 year term, and successful reapplication is required to maintain the status as a Grade A
There are currently 24 Grade A academies n the English league - PL2 teams are restricted to Grade A academies, so currently there is no relegation from PL2 (unless a team were to lose its Grade A status?)
I hope that this helps as an explanation
Only the top team in PL2 Div 2 will be automatically promoted. Team in 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th will compete in play-off for the 2nd promotion place to Div 1. Currently Fulham are in 2nd place, and looking good for the playoffs, with only six league games to play- which means that both Marlon & DLT are likely to be involved in competitive matches right up to the u20 World Cup

No players from the last U-17 team made it, much less the current one.

I'm not sure if you are joking but there are a few from last cycle on this roster.

I wasn't joking just wrong I guess. Ironically, LDT himself was a part of the last U 17 qualifying team. He is the only one though I think.

You are right about Adams. I dropped the ball. Are you sure Trusty was on the qualifying roster?

Trusty was on the WC roster but I don't think he was on the qualifying one.

And I suspect that Sargent isn't on it because he has something brewing in Germany.
