As you may have seen in the announcement - we are going offline briefly Sunday morning for an extensive upgrade to the look and feel of the site.

Once live, let us know about any bugs, feedback, suggestions you may have here.

Don't suppose there's a way to put this maintenance for a few hours. Sunday mornings can be pretty active around here for MD threads, etc. My team will have played Saturday so I'm not personally so affected. I guess I'm just thinking about the other folks whose teams are playing on Sunday.

There's no time on a weekend day that doesn't interfere with some games somewhere. Bump it to Sunday afternoon and you're in the middle of MLS games.

But that's when I use it the most! What the hell do you expect me to do then? Work?!

No, no, no! That's a terrible idea.

The update should proceed at 28:30 on Bligsday.

Yeah - it's tough finding a perfect time where the hamsters that run things aren't taking a break from their wheels that also doesn't impact high traffic times. Since we figured most users will be at the pub on Sunday morning it might be slightly less bad.

This Sunday there's only one MLS match: Seattle 10PM PDT. So that leaves a pretty large afternoon Window if the admins schedule allowed for that. And even if the maintenance happened during that match, it's still only inconveniencing fans from 2 clubs in the USA rather than dozens in England, Spain, Italy & Germany on Sunday morning.

Yeah, yeah, I know. NYRB are my other team, the one I can actually attend on a regular basis. But thankfully there are no real NYRB matchday threads to speak of on BigSoccer, so a Sunday evening server update would be no loss really. ;)

That's because everyone hangs out on the running thread on MLSN&A.

Aha. Learn something new every day. I may have to check that out!

Edit: Just did. Last Saturday's thread... a bit too ADHD for me. Give me one match to watch and one MD thread... that's challenging enough for my attention!

His point was the game is 7 PM ET, which is 4 PM PT, not 10 PM PT (which would be 1 AM ET).

It's not your typical "match" thread. But that's why it works.

Oops! A bit of time zone dyslexia on my part. Do they make pills for that also?

Anyway, sacrifice the single MLS match Sunday and do the upgrade around then? Seems reasonable to me.
