Freiburg's teen brigade couldn't quite handle BM's all stars at the end. loosing 2-3. Plus BM had the a luxurious off-season, camping in Spain, while playing some of the other world's best club. Obviously Freiburg can't afford such luxury/ Good game though, but the way BM's players were whining at every call against them , makes me them act like should get everything offered on a silver platter

poor Turbine Potsdam, both Kemme & Huth are injured, there goes their lead........and Laudehr out for the whole season. Jalabfi & Goessling out for Wolfsburg, not sure how long though.

here's highlights of the Wolfsburg vs FC Sand match. Despite missing Goessling & Jakabfi due to injuries and not playing Mittag & Simic(injuries too?), the Wolfies are looking mighty sharp! Starting ahead of an Hansen, Wullert gets an goal & assist. Newbie & my pick as FIFA's p.o.y. Pernell Harder looks magnifique on the assist in the 2nd goal. With her in the lineup, I'm favoring the Wolfies chances vs Lyon in next months's CL playoffs. Not much seen is Popp, and you think with Harder in she's finally released from AM duties to play lone striker. They also got to worry about defends as once again Fisher lets an easy one get by her

the dbf's site game of the week between Turbine Potsdam vs Frankfurt is best left to highlights as chances were few & far between. Very sloppily played game as TP was missing their 1,2 scoring punch in Kemme & Huth, and hence, also the league lead(though they still got an extra game to go) with an 1-1 draw. Frankfurt didn't have much to offer either with BU scoring leader, Islacker, getting a goal in their one good chance in the game. FR's international players of Nakasato, Cvomgevic & Sophie Schmit all looked past their prime. The 2nd half season is traditionally TP looses it's lead and Bayern Munich & Wolfsburg start taking over, but that's in part because of all the signings those two richer clubs due during the winter break and the injuries that TP starts getting. looks like history going to repeat itself again unless Kemme & Hith get back. I still maintain Elsig is currently the top player in the league, but one person just can't do it by themselves & she was stuck just long balling it this game. Even her strong heading game couldn't work since Kellond-Knight kept either kicking out of bounds or low balling all the corner kicks that TP got. In other news, both possible contenders, Essen & Freiburg, keep blowing it with ties against lesser teams. Freiburg was man up most of the 2nd half to 11th ranked Borussia Monchengladbach and still walked away with a 3-3 tie

Since when Germany NT has a separated sub-forum? Was it a recent thing? Was it really so necessary, with just 4 threads in it?

Also, one of this threads, apparently, it's about Euro 2017, not Germany NT: shouldn't it belong to "Women's international"? Unless we assume that Germany already won Euro 2017 by default...

It was created after the 2015 WWC.

Yes. Why are you asking now? You posted here before didnt you?

The other thread you are refering to is our German NT thread. The other was the previous one.

There are several German posters banned from the section you are refering to so that comes handy.

Actually I wasn't talking about the thread (yes, I posted here before), but about the sub-forum. It seemed to me that before it was under "Women International" and not directly under "Women's Soccer". But maybe it's just my memory deceiving me...

No, I was talking about the Euro 2017 general thread (it's different from the two Germany NT threads): it looks like it's now under "Germany Mädels..."

"Several"? o_O How many of them are we talking about?

And anyway, from my experience, on this forum people are banned for a reason, not randomly for sure.

Nevermind: probably is the 2017 Germany NT thread indeed, although the name make it sound like it isn't.

The BM vs Wolfsburg match up should of been a big game considering it a playoff match with an overtime/pk possibility. Sadly, it only drew 465 fans to it. The other 3 matches had similar attendance. They might as well get rid of this Cup tournament all together. Both teams will be meet each other again this weekend in league play, and then their real big CL contest vs PSG & Lyon. By playing now, they'll getting strong preparation time for those up coming matches with the French squads.
Looking at the lineups of this game
    http://us.women.soccerway.com/match...omen/fc-bayern-munchen/vfl-wolfsburg/2412817/

BM still missing Laudehr, Leupolz, Schnaderback. Iwabuchi(though didn't she play at the recent Algarve Cup for her Japan side?) Maier sat out. Over at Wolfsburg; they seem like they got enough subs to handle the missing Goessling & Jakabfi. It's stunning though that Jones makes Mittag the #1 vocal point of her attack, yet she can't even make it this time into the game for Wolfsburg as a sub! Kinda reminds me of the old Bayern Munich men's team when Klose & Gomez sat on the bench for most of the season with 2 goals between them, while Low made them his lone strikers on his squad that year!

here's the goals of all the Cup/quarters matches, though what happened to the Frankfurt goalkeeper? lol

Yes, she did play at least the 2nd half of the Japan-Iceland match. I was at the stadium and I even got her autograph. :giggle: She did look ok, although she wasn't overly dangerous.

Looks like Bauern could be bottling the entire season just within just 7 days. They lost 2:0 today and the CL game will be on Wednesday

below are some really good high lights from yesterday's Bayern Munich/Wolfsburg match. From watching the full game, the Wolfies weren't as dominating as the score suggests; there were long pauses in the 2nd half where BM was out playing them. Sill their newbie, Pernille Harder, continues to impress as one of the best catches of all time. Coupled with a finally fit, Caro Hansen, you could possibly seeing the best one, two comb in all of woso. But will that be enough to handle what at least looks on paper, the most stacked team(club or NT) ever in Lyon?

As for Bayern Munich; they played a couple of 16 year olds; one of them, Sydney Lohmann, actually looked pretty good. But that still doesn't take away on what's the heck happened to their previous lineups of Faist, Leupolz, Evans, Laudehr, Schnaderbeck, Iwabuchi & Berge? No team could have this many injuries, or could they? once again, BM started the game slowly but finally brought in Rolser in the 2nd half which proved to be her usual spark plug.

In other games, one time contenders, Freiburg & Essen are back to their self destructive ways as they tied & lossed, Frankfurt leaped back into fourth place on Mandy Islacker's hat trick. She;s has doubled her scoring lead over 2nd place Miedema with 16 goals so far in the season. Turbine Potsdam win keeps them in 1st place, and finally Huth made it back to the starting lineup, but still no sign of Kemme, They'll definitely need her back if they want to stay on top!

You are correct with your analysis! There were patches in the 2nd half where Bayern had 3-4 chances to equalize.

On another note: Freiburg are 10 points behind 2nd place.

Wait, why was that interesting again?
